GG Templars ... pretty even passing numbers, but 35 vs 245 rushing was kind of a killer. Good game Gambler75 Until the half time we were absolutely equivalent. In the third quarter, however, the Templars broke down. We continue to hope for the Division Cup. |

I'm quite looking forward to the evergreen against the San Diego Hurricanes.
Good luck, Slider. This could well decide home field advantage in a potential Conference game. That means it's important. |

Some ramarkable results from Playday-11 IMHO :
Bretzfeld Bandits 27:26 Vienna Armadillos What a match of the Armadillos (3-8) as the underdog against Bandids (7-4) ! Armadillos were leading 26:6 after Q3 !! Seems coach Kottan did find the right words in the break before Q4, since Bandids then made 3 TDs in a row winning this game, which seemed to be lost after Q3. Saint Etchford Spitfires 24:20 Nuremberg Fallen Templars The goal for Templers (8-3) is to reach Playoffs, currently 2nd at AC West, so there is still a way to go for them. Spitfires, however, have been too strong for them to beat. Spitfires (11:0) heading AC East and are the only Team at Galaxy without a sinlge loss !!!! Should we expect more from them this Season, compard to last season, where they lost against Dawgs 12:24 in Divisional Playoffs. Torino Black Bulls 38:7 DASH Worth to mention the nice (8-3) record of the Black Bulls, after this victory against DASH (3-9). Black Bulls leading AC North and heading now for Playoffs. However, the Hamsters are 2nd, also with (8-2), still trying to reach first place. Still an open race in AC North. Wallace Wildcats 20:23 San Diego Hurricanes Wildcats now with a (6-5) record after this defeat against Hurricanes. Wildcats are 3rd in their division and will need to win some games now to be able to make it into the Playoffs, whereas Hurricanes with a nice (9-2) record leading their division, let's say, as expected. Week 15 Preview / Playoff Race Check.
AC East: Spitfires runaway winners. Division wild card eliminated already. Homefield is the only question mark left. AC North: Tight race, likely will end up with a 12-4 tie here at the end. Doubtful Detroit can catch up enough PD here (+90), after suffering a 10-38 loss this week @ Torino, but they are in the driver seat right now for the top wild card. AC South: Naughty Dawgs have the division. Meerkats have a few impressive wins on their resume but will need one of the 10-4 teams to stumble to make the playoffs. AC West: Marauders tied with Spitfires on record, nursing the league's longest win streak at the moment, but behind on PD. Looks like I'll have to root for the Pub Gang this week. Templars are having a strong season, but the 13-32 L to Panther's this week took them from top wild card, to on the outside looking in (dead last PD 10-4 team). NC East: Hurricanes locked it up a bit ago. Bandits are a strong team but need a lot of help to get in at this point. NC North: Pub Gang is close to locking up home field throughout, and likely will take it even if they lose vs Spitfires (huge PD lead). Kauto Stars had a rough early schedule going 1-4, but has won nine straight and are currently the top wild card. With low PD, and matches against the Bandits and Pub Gang left, two losses could leave them out of the playoffs however. NC South: Pirates have the division, Wildcats have games vs Pirates and Pangolins left to likely lock up a wildcard spot, barring two losses. NC West: Orcs win the division, everyone else already long since eliminated. Predicted finish: AC Conf 1. Marauders 15-1 2. Spitfires 14-2 (bot game Wk16, I expect PD higher over Dawgs at the end) 3. Dawgs 14-2 4. Bulls 12-4 (both win out, but Hamsters can't catch the PD gap) 5*. Hamsters 12-4 6*. Meerkats 10-6 (edges out Templars on PD) NC Conf 1. Pub Gang 15-1 2. Hurricanes 14-2 3. Pirates 13-3 4. Orcs 10-6 5*. Wildcats 11-5 (wins on PD) 6*. Stars 11-5 * - wildcard spots. Huge games on the docket this week: Pub Gang @ Spitfires (+1), Wildcats @ Pirates (-4), Stars @ Bandits (-22). Will we see a game of the year from Bandits? Great write up Gambler, I guess the Stars streak is no longer a secret!
Never anticipated being in this position this season (8-8) was the goal, but hey our season is alive and bring it on! 2 tough challenges (Bandits & Pub Gang) ahead and with our PD we need to win our way in, but that's how it should be and we'll give it our best shot! At least as the regular season ends at the Pub, either way they'll be hangovers all round |

Even though I predicted myself as top AC seed, I expect my offense to do me in come playoff time.
I couldn't find a decent QB prospect about 5-6 seasons ago when I was DESPERATELY searching for one to start grooming ... and despite a pretty ferocious defense, the top teams in AC (Dawgs already beat me in our one head to head, didn't face Spitfires this season), will likely feast on my 21yo "QB of the future" in the playoffs. I've got at least what I consider a very solid team around the hole at QB ... problem is, by the time the QB is ready, most of the core of the team will likely be hitting retirement age. I've held off on doing a fire sale (again) ... but part of me is thinking I should be tossing every 27yo+ and building to have my team peak around the young QB, not dying when he's finally ready ... thoughts?
