I've got at least what I consider a very solid team around the hole at QB ... problem is, by the time the QB is ready, most of the core of the team will likely be hitting retirement age. I've held off on doing a fire sale (again) ... but part of me is thinking I should be tossing every 27yo+ and building to have my team peak around the young QB, not dying when he's finally ready ... thoughts? Well, you might consider again buying a QB , instead of waiting that your own QB is ready. All options are valid, really depending what your target ist. And, at the end, nobody can take that decision besides yourself |

Wildcard Playoff
Bretzfeld Bandits vs. San Diego Hurricanes What to say ! Bandids (10/6) at Hurricanes (13/3), an old Galaxy classic ! They have met already twice during the season, with 1 victory each team (13-31 / 37-17). Both won their home matches, Difficult to predict, maybe home team advantage will make the difference this time. Detroit Gros Hamsters vs. Torino Black Bulls Great success for Hamsters (12-4) and Black Bulls (12-4) reaching the Playoffs. They also have met twice, where Hamsters lost 14-31 and 10-38 in both matches. So, Black Bulls should be Favorite. BUT, Hamsters are the only team which have won against Spitfires (15-1) in a close 28-27 match. Maybe they can do something similar again ? Soul Sonic Force vs. Fairhaven Naughty Dawgs Also a success for Sonic Force (10-6) reaching the Playoffs against Dawgs (14-2). Dawgs are surely one of the favorites to reach Division Playoffs. Will be difficult for Sonic Force to prevent this. Wallace Wildcats vs. Saarbruecken Orcs Another Galaxy Classic with Wildcats (10-6) at Orcs (10-6). During the season Wildcats have already beaten Orcs 28:9 and this season is clearly NOT the Orcs season, so, despite the home advantage, Wildcats may be favorites this time. ...all comments, thoughts welcome Last edited on 2017-02-22 07:18:35 by Hard_Boiled |

Apologies for having not contributed earlier, but here's my 2 cent: Under no circumstances would I consider a sale of over 27 year olds. Your team is generally young, and your QB has *4, which won't get much better. In fact the Marauders will still be young in a season from now. I would not miss the opportunity to develop the team you've got at the moment, which could compete in Elite no problem. |

I think people are way to quick to go into fire sale mode....I don't think it should be to difficult to get a 26-28 yo QB to fill-in until the young guy comes along. I picked up a 27 yo this season who will probably be a part-time starter next season.
I had one QB for ~8 years until he retired last season. Now I have a laddered approach. I have a 29 yo, a 27 yo (purchased mid-season), 24 yo (sold when I bought the 21 yo) and a 21 yo (purchased recently). I just do my best to keep upgrading. I thought it would have a dramatic affect on my results...but I've managed so far. Steve SD Blitz |

Didn't get in early enough to do my predictions/previews ... but being honest, I think my picks would've almost been wrong across the board.
Hurricanes - Bandits, would've taken Hurricanes @ home in a close one. Bulls - Hamsters, would've gone with Bulls @ home. Force - Dawgs, I thought this was the season Brewnoe would get his taste of Elite - pretty shocked, will be watching Force vs Spitfires closely. Wildcats - Orcs, both very good teams would've felt like a coin flip to me and I usually go with the home team when that's the case. So would've only got the Bulls game correct. Divisional Round preview: Soul Sonic Force @ Saint Etchford Spitfires (-1): Force took a big jump in Beckos with the upset of the Dawgs, but with how Spitfires have rolled through this season I'm going to say 'fires by one TD. Torino Black Bulls @ Midnight Marauders (-19): I'm expecting this to be a lot closer than Beckos ... last time we met in S22, I squeaked out a late W 38-33 ... and they've improved quite a bit since then, while I've stagnated a bit roster wise. Marauders by 6. Bretzfeld Bandits (-7) @ The Notorious Pub Gang: Recent losses to Spitfires and Narann (Supercup), and the Bandits back to back wins over Hurricanes have flipped the Beckos ratings and ended up with Bandits as the favorite. I'm not sure I agree, but I am expecting this to be the closest game of the week and come down to the wire. Going to go against Beckos and say Pub Gang by a FG. Wallace Wildcats @ Penzance Pirates (-6): Wildcats have had a steady climb of about 40 points of Beckos rating starting around a month ago, they've really been on a tear. But the one dent in that climb ... a 12 point loss to the Pirates. I'm going to say a closer game, but Pirates move on by one score. Last edited on 2017-02-22 13:30:04 by Gambler75 |

When I relegated from Elite I think I was 5th at Beckos. Since then I played my substitutes a lot of the time and lost a few games, so my current bad ranking is justified. Against the Bandits I will play my best team, of course. Good luck to all teams |

Off by one, spot on, off by one ... missed by 42 points.
Pretty much nailed all of my predictions, save for the dominant performance from the Wildcats ... that was some crazy defense. Perfect for the day on all 13 3rd downs. Don't think my team has ever done that, even vs. bots. |
