That said they still don't know what they're doing on run blocking, or were their running backs THAT bad?

Also, normally Packers just need to be servicable on the run as the air attack is so good normally. Still they lost basically all their RBs to injury. No team recovers from that.

That Montgomery still performed was a surprise and a plus. But the way the RB position is evolving he is in for a good career I suspect (as RBs are expected to be good catchers as well nowadays).

For a team without running game they did pretty well in playoffs.

Yeah Packers had 87 yds per game, Patriots 86 yds per game in the playoffs, last place of the teams that weren't one and done. But, both teams used a lot of swing/screen passes to the backs though, in place of a "conventional" ground game. I bet total yards by the RBs probably would look comparable with the run heavy teams.

Despite all the running back talk the key for me this offseason is can the Pack reach a championship level Defence again. Their issues to solve here are NT, Clay Matthews age and health. Is Nick Perry the real deal, or was that a one year contract season performance? Will they find enough quality corners to find two starters and a Nickel?

Now some of these questions I am sure will be answered in a positive manner come the season. My big concern is that NT though, if there aren't enough people on the planet to find 32 starting QB's there is even fewer able to play NT. Yet without one.......

We know. The Ravens are stacked at every position. They will go 16-0 and win the Superbowl. And no one in Baltimore will see their team miss once again the playoffs in favor of the Steelers and Bengals

This defence is as good as the Y2K Raven minus the HoFers but younger apparently. Still not as far out there as the guy who thinks that a 4th round NT will turn The Pack into a top 5 line in his rookie season......

Successful rookie NT are rarer than successful Rookie QB's.

They were top 10 against the run last season, but 31st against the pass (only the Saints were worse). NT Clark played awful early, but great during their stretch run. Between him and Daniels, I think they'll be okay up front.

With Sam Shields released, their CB depth is the scariest part of the D for me, by far. Assuming everyone stays healthy, and King develops FAST as a rookie - I'd expect them to at least improve. But if Randall can't stay healthy again ... this position could easily be the Achilles heel, I don't think Rollins, House or Gunter belong as CB1/CB2 material on a NFL team.

It's truly amazing that they made the playoffs while allowing over 8 yards per attempt to opposing teams.

I agree 100%! This runD was freaking scary. They would have stopped a bus! But this secondary... hum...
