It's true everything counts but if we all put in £5m we would get no where near the $800m needed to not make a loss, anything less than $800m (unless I'm wrong) means we would all get back less than we put in.

Thats true - but refusing to put in anything doenst solve anything - it just means everyone is worse off. I know everyone has a tight budget (myself included), i can hardly afford to put in anything - but refusing to do it all together just seem weird.

What Punch said, if you put in $5m and we don't get anywhere near to the $800m then by the end of the season you will have got around $2.5-3m back, you'll be paying $2-2.5m for absolutely nothing, times this by ten for anyone putting $50m in!

The current money in the mediacentre would work out that with my $50m investment I would get back $42m, I'd lose $8m.

If we work on this thread over the season though we could all be prepared to pledge in season 27 and each make millions.

I know the math... But the reason to not put in is that it's going to be a loss. But if everybody committed to putting their personal maximum in. Then it would not be a loss, so just dismissing it before hand just does not make any sense.

Maybe we should state the question like this : how much would each manager commit to, if the combined commitment is above 50%.

My guess would be that some mangers don't know what they are committing to.

I do agree with you, i'm only saying don't pledge this year because based on the current practice mediacentre, and the responses i had to the messages i sent to every manager who will be in the league next season, it doesn't look like we'll come close to breaking even, let alone making a profit.
I had about 17 replies and all of them said they would pledge what they could afford, no one said they're not going to pledge because it's not worth it, or words to that effect. I'm just trying to protect people from a situation where i think it's highly likely they'll lose money.

It may be a possibility we don't have a clue what's happening or what to do I will put money in as said but I have no idea how or when etc it's very confusing

It's up to each individual if they want to put money in, my personal opinion is that if they do, and i hope i'm wrong, this coming season they will lose money. I believe we should all use next season to plan together for season 27.
