This was the first season I didn't use MOTY - could never find a good time to use bearing in mind the impact it has on the next couple of games

Don't stress too much about retirements. I had 9 guys retire this year yet somehow my team actually did better

But Mr Pumpkin would have likely taken this at the start of the season so must look at this positively now. MLM finished the season very strongly, as predicted in the power rankings, but still only scraped into the playoffs themselves. But they are a dangerous team...rarely win easily, but have a habit of winning scruffy. This has all the makings of a shootout...and I see the home side prevailing. Ducks 31 - 38 MLM TOUCH IT DOWN 69ers @ FREE AGENT MASCOTS A 7 game streak sent the 69ers into the playoffs which included a victory over divisional rival Mascots, who are impossible to predict at the moment, going from the sublime to the ridiculous and back pretty much on a game by game basis. The 69ers are very well ranked in all facets of the game - top ten placing in each - showing they have a very well rounded and balanced team. But can he stop Sanco's tried and tested formula to spring what would still be considered a surprise result? I don't think so, though he will lose nothing in defeat if so. 69ers 24 - 41 Mascots NC CONFERENCE LAKEFIELD VIKINGS @ DERBYSHIRE ELECTRIC Seems to be a trend developing here...Electric dominate the early season, Vikings inconsistent, finish strong whilst the Electric flicker...beat the Electric in the late game of the two, and then win the playoff game. Games between these two are rarely pretty, being more attritional than beautiful - and neither team generates much confidence whomever progresses. A scrappy affair is very likely...Vikings have the edge ratings wise....Electric's power rushing game needs to show up this time. Head says that the trend continues. Vikings 24 - 20 Electric SPRINGHEEL JACKS @ THE GOLDEN TAINTS Give yourself a pat on the back if you predicted this playoff matchup pre season!! Fair play to both though...the Taints taking the division by the scruff of the neck with a 6 game charge to take the Division....the Jacks hot mid season but just fell away in chasing the Wildcats home. The Taints won a late season matchup with impunity which gives us a clue, though the Jacks are better than that and I expect a close, hard fought affair here....but think homefield advantage crucial and could make the difference. As far as I'm concerned 1.1 is elite anyway so it's no disappointment not getting promoted. |

tough S/C loss to the Wildcats......played well but couldn't hang on and that missed PAT cost us huge in the end.
Ah well...good luck in next round Rock...decent enough draw that as well...you can take that game for sure. |

 That last touchdown probably would have given me a heart attack. GG, definitely came down to the wire.
Next SC game is definitely winnable. Now winning it is another matter entirely  |
