Admirals 2.1 draft is a poor pool, but snagged my 9th rated player at 30th overall.
21yo DL, 3*EXP and 5*TAL, 49.3 (red) STR and 35.3 (uncapped) SPD with decent INT, TW and skills. Rest of the board sucks so don't have high hopes for the 2nd round, let alone the 3rd. I'd say at least half the remaining prospects have INT under 35 and most have very average physicals. |

I am kind of surprise getting my 9th choice at 30. Also kind of surprise at some of the players that where taken. That were down on the bottom of my board because of age,and lack a physical skills

Most of us probably got a top 10 pick, and most of us are probably shocked at the garbage other folks picked up
 Just shows we are all evaluating players differently.

Position of need in the second round but all of the FB draftees were just meh so I got a meh second pick. Will be a starter in a few seasons time if he sticks around but may look at the TM as well.

Landed a 50 STR, 3 EXP/5 TALENT OL at 62nd overall, my 21st rated player. Better than all three reserves that I'm moving on already.

draft results for the Electric :
Round 1 - Mustafa (LB) Didn't get the main picks I wanted, but was happy enough to land Mustafa, despite his age. Totally uncapped and with the Fearsome trait, for whatever that's worth, 50 INT and already nice experience, I can afford to develop his skills a bit before slotting him in at MLB, where along with Dlouhy he will create havoc for seasons to come. Round 2 - Gajewski (OL) Needed an OL and he seemed the best of what was left - happy enough to get him. 49.6 STR, decent INT and TW - again I need to develop his footwork and blocking skills but with no retirements scheduled for this year, time is on my side, with a couple of nice YA prospects coming through also. My QB may eat a fair bit of dirt again this season, but he will be well protected going forward. Round 3 - Novoa (QB) Absolute dross left - I actually targeted a kicker but those poxy Comagena Lions nicked him! So by the time the 90th pick came around I was into unplaced board picks (couldn't be assed). Novoa is transfer market fodder...no reason at all to keep him and any money I get for him will be a bonus. It was a poor board with very slim pickings overall....im happy with my LB and the OL should be decent enough, but this seasons draft will be quickly forgotten IMO. |

Another meh FB in the third round but luckily speed is only yellow capped so should be decent when finished.
Two FB meh picks and 1 excellent LB have made this a better than expected draft. |

94th pick of the 2.1 draft brought me a backup RB type, 44.6 STR is only yellow but 42.6 SPD is red capped. Decent INT (38.7) and TW (43.7) but everything else is pretty average. His STR is better than most of my RBs but SPD is much worse, and I have three FBs already (though he is better than at least one of those) so unsure what to do with him. Was thinking before the round that this pick would be transfer market fodder, might still turn out that way but not bad for the third last pick.

Another successful draft for me the way it looks. I filled my 2 biggest needs with good young players, so a big plus there.
Round 1: I was surprised that I got my #2 pick with DE Remond. I had my top 6 pick as DE's, so I was bound to get one, but a 20 year old with 48 strength, decent teamwork, and 46 (yellow) speed was a pleasant surprise. A starting DE is retiring, so a DE was a big need to keep me at 4 DE's on the roster for next season. 2nd straight season I drafted a DE in the 1st round, the youth movement at this position continues. Round 2: Got my #1 choice here with QB Gomez. 2nd straight year that a QB is retiring. Last season I found a free agent QB, but this year I was able to draft a 20 year old with 50 int, 3.5 exp, 43 speed and 39 strength. Both speed and strength are yellow, so I'm happy with whatever happens. Track Star helps too. I won't need to worry about the QB position for the foreseeable future. Round 3: #1 choice was a FB, but capped at 42 speed and strength, so selling him. |
