My late draft analysis:

1st round: The RB and QB I was going after were taken, so my #3 choice was LB Pravat Plaphol red on 45 strength, but yellow on 47 speed, just turned 19, good intelligence, 3.5 exp! Depending on the speed, he may go to OLB, SS or CB, haven't really had much time to think it over. A good pick.

2nd round: Went for youth again in the 2nd round with WR Arnbjörn Sigbjartsson as my #2 choice. Capped on both 45 speed and 40 Strength. To the transfer market he goes.

3rd round: TE Tarek Ahmad as my #2 pick. Capped at 45 speed, but uncapped on 39 strength. A bit old at 21, may see where his strength goes, but leaning towards putting him on the transfer market.

Only 1 pick that will stay, maybe 2 if I have a change of heart on Tarek. Possibly the worst draft I've had. 1st rounder will be good at whichever position I put him at though.
Overall grade C+

Now this is what has been missing in this league for a while now! Great stuff from both of you, but the above quote made me laugh the most. Good to see the boys are back in town.

Bounty Hunters draft analysis

1st round - draft order 7 at pick 28: CB Marijus Garbaciauskas, 19yo, 32.4 STR yellow so too low a cap for me, 49.6 SPD yellow so likely hits 50, 32.4 INT and 35.4 TW, 5*TALENT, Sure Tackler trait. Has it all...bar the STR, which is a deal-breaker for me. Already on the TM.

2nd round - draft order 27 at pick 60: TE Heinz-Rudolf Monnaz (now Rich Edge), 22yo, 35.5 STR and 43.8 SPD and 31.3 AGI all uncapped which is nice, good INT (40.3) and TW (37.3), 4.5*TALENT and 4*EXP. Moved to WR for now but will go back to TE eventually, just what I needed.

3rd round - draftorder 30 at pick 92: QB Wu-pen Sai (now Jerrod Root), 23yo, 34.8 uncapped STR, 46.2 SPD red capped, 33.6 AGI uncapped; 34.6 INT but just 23.3 TW, 5*TALENT but 2*EXP. Moved to DL and listed on TM, not a bad player for the end of the 3rd round but too much of a project for me.

Overall: C

If the CB had uncapped STR I'd give this draft an A, but fact is none of these guys are better than anyone on my roster and there are better pickings on the TM.

What happened? Choking in week one!

Now for the treacherous trip along the dirt tracks of the part of the world so insignificant and backwards that the Romans didn’t even bother to invade. Soon we will find the best thing to come out of Derbyshire. .... the A38 south.

Ouch. My QB has 5 interceptions in the season opener. Last season in 16 games he had a total of 7. Not looking good.

Interesting first game of the season. My QB threw a 70 yd TD, then 2 interceptions, all in the 1st quarter. He was also sacked 2 times. Defense held Vienna well, but caused no interceptions or sacks. My running game didn't do too much. My QB somehow threw for over 400 yards, probably one of the biggest passing games ever for me, and my QB is lucky to throw for over 200 yards in any game. The things that I rely on to win didn't happen, and my weakest part of my team saved me.

Sounds like another wild season ahead for me. Good game Schwabe, I look forward to our rematch later this season.

Oh....says nothing for a few days....gets a fluky 1 point win and hes back chirping away like the raven he is.....

Listen dumbo, we are that benevolent (look the meaning up thicko) that we like to make our charitable donations to those far less privileged than we are even by virtue of taking losses. So enjoy another facile win where our defense loved ramming your QB's mugs into Derbyshire turf but remember we will always be so far above you in class and station that you need a telescope to see us.

Thanks, also good game from you.
I didn't thought it would be that close. The season opener is always a problem for my team because of the mayor changes I do in the preseason and I'm more than happy how they performed. Only my kicker letting me down. See you again in the late season.

Cheers mate for the coded message that the dictionary salesman has left Derbyshire and is following the A38 on horseback seeing as the motorised engine won’t reach you for another thousand years. As for your sacking team well done but that doesn’t change that your team failed to put more points on the board than my team did.

If I may I’d like you to revert to your original postings when you first beat me and then you may go back to that lemon that you’re currently sucking on

Congrats rod26. Think it was close. Just could not get in to your 35y line despite getting 24 first downs (vs your 14) and gaining 349yards (vs your 246). Think your 7 sacks+1 pick vs my 3sacks+2 forced fumble recoveries made it fall your way.

I am not disapointed. My QB did better then I hoped so no regrets letting my starting QB go in the offseason. Dont expect to compete for the division title this year (or the next when I manage to stay in 1.1). Hope to finish my new playbook soon because this one has some mistakes (like going for it at 4 and 15 on my own 35 with 13minutes to go and only down 1 score )

Anyway. Good luck this year
