Today we are starting The League Weekly issue of the Thunder Outsiders magazine. This might be published each week league games are played and are meant to be the vessel of any content we want to put out that week. As mentioned before this might vary widely from week to week and might include any of the following: stats, news, fun facts, investigative journalism, saucy rumours and whatever else takes our fancy that week. This week we are introducing the guest column named Interesting Titbits From Around the League. The writer this week is dumpling and we thank him very much for being the first guest contributor to the Thunder Outsiders. He will therefore be placed in the Thunder Outsiders Hall of Fame in the category: "Brave Journalistic Pioneers - bravely writing where no writer has written before!" Now I will offer a very quick and random recap of the Thunder 1 & 2 games played this week: Thunder 2 Review * Dublin Dragons showed Spitting Llamas that life in Thunder 2 can be just as hard as it was in Thunder 1. 
* World Champions started to live up a little bit to their name by beating former Elite team Budapest Wolves. 
Thunder 1 Review * Barossa Bulldogs kicked Jimmy GQ right in the nuts with a convincing away victory. Ouch! 
* Boonley Bulldozers showed that they are an up and coming and improving team and don't respect the old guard. Ouch again! * Entertainment award of the week goes to East Coast Crushers @ Rome Centurions who fought a thrilling closely fought game.
* Australorps came within a whisker of getting their winning virginity taken by LM Pirates. A promising start though. 
* Basterds had a uncharacteristic slow start to the season. Are they over the hill??! 
* The only take away from Totoras Patriot' win over Xu Da is that both teams will be bad again this year. Now we swiftly move on to the new columnn that I mentioned up top: Interesting Titbits From Around the League Written by football reporter dumpling Comeback of the week 
East Coast Crushers @ Rome Centurians Trialling 14-30 at the start of Q4 a fantastic effort by the Crushers saw them pull off an outstanding victory with 17 unanswered 4th quarter points with the winning field goal coming with 18 seconds left on the clock. The Centurians defence weren't helped by the offence in Q4 which failed to convert two 3rd down and 3 meaning that there defence were left on the field a long time and were eventually ripped apart. FG to tie or TD to win 
Kokomo Mantis @ Deflaters We've all asked ourselves that question well today it was the Mantis who losing 20-23 had a 4th down at the opponents 4 yd line and 1.47 left on the clock. Rather than going for a FG and playing for OT they called an SG2 whilst the defence called 3-3-5 and the result was an incomplete pass, turnover on downs and Deflators ran out the clock for a narrow victory. That was it for now folks. But the idea of The Weekly League issue is that we always add content to tbe bottom of this thread if new content comes up.
