Well, my team hasn't had much to celebrate this season, but we hold onto the possibility of finishing 8-8 with three games against teams I should be competitive with (Glasgow twice and the Panthers) and one team I was surprisingly close to in our first matchup (the Ducks), but not expecting to get any closer. Considering I was pretty sure my team would finish below .500, especially after losing a couple of games to start the season I thought I had to win, that is encouraging.
I've got some promising young players coming up, including my first two draft picks, which include a two trait 52.5 speed OLB w/ Pressure and a 50/50 DL w/ 4* EXP. And with only one player retiring, I should be back after spending another season in SD 1 where I can get my youth some more snaps. Good luck to everyone during the final few games and post season play! |

I wouldn't say "easily," though I suppose there's a possibility. It would take a pretty significant upset (either me beating Kanar or you losing to Scorchio) plus me not losing or you not winning in either of the other two games. I'll put my best foot forward to stay in Elite, but it would probably be in my team's best interest to go back down

It is incredible how despite my defense allowd only 19 TDs and 222 points, a rate comparable to the best teams, this season the engine decided that my passing play must sucks, only 216 yds per game 31th in rank and 15 TDs 15th ...
My offense is better than the last season (avg passing yds 288 ,10 in rank and 33 TDs) and I have even 4 OLs retiring so I pushed high their skills... This happened also in S40. But the real problem is that time ago I would have digged into stats trying to undestand why and now I do not care anymore... |

I know what you mean. S40 was my high water mark and by S42, even with a lot of the same players who were now two seasons better, my team started declining.
As I look at the outcomes this season, there's no reason I (~80% rating) should have wins over the Bobbers (87.1%) and SC Pirates (92.2%), and both of these teams have underperformed given the strength of their rosters. And they are good managers as well, so it's not like they have bad tactics. In fact, I had to use my backup QB against the Bobbers, and he even had good defenses chosen against my offense, but his QB threw 4 INTs. Go figure. I've said it before, I think the randomness of the game accounts for larger chunk of the team's performance than we credit it. |

Randomness is a factor even in real life but what kind of randomness do we have in RZA?
We are aware about day form, I hate it, last season I lost the divisional game by 3 because I had against 5 turnovers vs 2 Entire season ruined... But I won games thanks to it too. I think a bad day can happen and it is reasonable. If you toss a coin 16 times you can have 16 times head nothing to say... Probability (1/2)^16. It is like in S44 I had 16 heads and in S45 13 tails... Till now. Probability near zero. So I wonder if there is also a "light" bad season form.... It is pretty wierd, Kanar last season ended 9-7, he did not play the playoff and won SC+CoC... I had the same behaviour in S40 and I won SC... How can this happen in the same season.... Only WW was immune to randomness... He played 48 playoff games avg 2.5 per season winning 36, rate 75% ... Last edited on 2021-12-11 09:30:13 by PJRAVENS |

I'd be careful about building too strong of a team. Let Salt City Pirates be a warning about trying to fly to close to the sun.
But if you're building a stronger team, I'm happy to spend a season in Sea Devils licking my wounds. |

I do not think I will reach the Pirates level, but I hope to be close to 91 rating but the end of next season.
