That was a great game for me and the first time in a long time that Alligators beat a team that is on paper better than themselves. It might also be the first game the league stood up and noticed my hidden gem, QB Osbourne. Ripping up a 17 yards run tells you there might be a different breed of QB entering the league. Perhaps echoeing developments in the real NFL I also was able to successfully run the ball, finally. Are things finally coming together!? Probably but it sure feels nice sitting atop the NC North once again. Of course had the game lasted 2mins longer I would have lost the game and all of the above would not apply In the end it were even matched teams going head to head and a play here and there deciding the game. Could have gone the other way and I would have had no complaints. |

Dumplings Weekly Review
Week 4 From 8 unbeaten teams to 6...... Last week I called the weeks big game match up as Dumplings @ Alligators and it didn't disappoint. Although the score was close the Alligators were always in front. A great call to go for it on 4th and 1 on the 4yd line scoring a TD in the 4th quarter sums up the balls and skill this team has. I'm looking forward to the return fixture later in the season. The other team losing their unbeaten record was the Destroyers who ran into a Deflators team that although in financial trouble still has enough Elite big game awareness to hang on to a lead. The Destroyers QB (Donnell Connell ) was sacked 9 times (4 of them by Harrison Huggins the Deflators LB). Let's talk about the AC South with still 3 unbeaten teams in there: The Wild Thangs have yet to concede more than 7pts in a game (while scoring a minimum of 48pts), The Bolts are similarly massively outscoring their opponents and have 2 great wins against the Bulldogs and Deflators, Xu Da complete the gruesome threesome with great wins against the Bulldogs and the Llamas. Something will have to give soon in this hot cauldron of a division - but not next week as they are not scheduled to play each other so can all 3 go 5-0 ??? My BIG GAME match up for Week 4 is Llamas @ Wild Thangs |

That AC South definitely has some great teams. It very well could be the best division in Thunder right now! Good job everyone!

Dumplings Weekly Review - Week 5
From 6 unbeaten teams to 5...... And the next team to lose their chance of an unbeaten season are the Rome Centurions losing at home 26:12 to Barossa Bulldogs. Can't work out what happened here but I do know that if all your points are going to come from FG (in this case 4 of them) then you're going to struggle. Congrats to the Bulldogs to keeping the Centurions QB down to a 52% passing completion rate Last week I called this weeks BIG GAME match up as Llamas @ Wild Thangs and it didn't disappoint. The Llamas went full pass (not a single rush attempt) and all out of SG4. So 87 total points scored and in the end the Wild Thangs squeeked by with a 3 point win. Interesting stats - The Llamas 6 TDs were all Passing and the 6 Wild Thangs were 5 Rushing and an Interception (no passing TDs). Also the Llamas dropped 14 catches and the Wild Thangs dropped 7 so I imagine both coaches will have them training in the Deep Ball Field this week. So the AC South still has 3 unbeaten teams in there and the division is so strong that even their bot team, the Paris Panthers, won It will be all change next week as they start to match up against each other. Two BIG GAME match ups for Week 4 with Xu Da @ Bolts and Wolflings @ Alligators |

I am really glad Wild Thangs won as a team playing pass SG4 ALL game (and they always do this) don't deserve to win a game in my book. Herrpetllamas is probably playing the game and that is fair but I hope he lost because of the karma penalty. It just feels too cycical for my liking to do that tactic all the time.
The crazy thing of that game was that there NO punts by either team!! Llamas converted 4 of their 4th down attempts, now for that I can totally give them credit where it's due. In this game there was a 1st half sequence of 6 consecutive TDs by both teams combined and in the 2nd half 5 TDs consecutive by both teams. Crazy! The crowd certainly got their money's worth in this game Last edited on 2020-06-20 19:28:17 by Cheesehead |

They beat me last year and I had Pete check this out, and he said the penalty is in place for them. Here is Pete's response, and I think there needs to be a lot more of a penalty than what there is: the gamelog, the one you guys cannot see, tells me there is nothing wrong with the engine. The situation of a lopsided playbook was determined, and a "penalty" for it was in place. To me, it seems the win happened due a more aggrive gameplay paired with a good portion of luck. Going for all those 4th downs, and "winning" most of them, is what we call "he has balls". The outcome of this game would have been more as we like it if some more of the 4th down conversions would have missed. On top, he was playing one defense formation all game long, again with either luck or really good depth chart ideas. I mean, if you manage to put your strongest personal on each single position in your defense this speaks for the coach, IMO. Summary: - lopsided tactics detected: check - lopsided tactics penalty applied: check |
