@ Tool, my philosophy is to play to win every game, the TC is pretty minimal, but you have to do what's best for your team

In the Elite power rankings, Rufio put DC as No. 1 and my team as No. 3. Meeting in the first round of SC is harsh. While this matchup has been worthy of being a final, much of the match itself would have been worthy too.
My team dominated the first quarter and scored four times. Leading 12-0. When you play DC you know, this means nothing. And, not surprisingly, he came right back with a TD and a FG for the 12-10 half time score in favour of my team. The second half started with an excellent drive of my offense finally going all the way. 19-10. DC replied with a 7 minute drive, also ending with a TD. 19-16. Yes, their kicker was not the most favorite player at this point in Washington. Not even two minutes later he made up for it with a FG. 19-19. Don't you love a good kick return if it is your KR who goes 61 yards ? I sure did. My offense followed up on this opportunity. 26-19. This seemed to motivate my defense which stopped the best QB in RZA at the 38 yards from my end zone. Again the kicker was asked to come. This time he missed the long field goal. The next drive brought the decision. TD 33-19. Takashi and his incredible offense were stunned. they still managed to get a last first down and then basically asked the punter to get on the field as fast as possible to get this over with. My offense was in a completely different mindset by now, celebrating before hand the first victory over DC this season after two heavy defeats. If any spectator still had a doubt, the FG 2 minutes before the end sealed it. 36-19. As happy as I am I would love for our teams to meet again a fourth time this season. If DC stays in the No.1 position, this would mean Conference Semifinal. If PJ scores a surprise win, this would be the Conference Finals. It was probably the worst match all season by Takashi. One sack, two interceptions, only 58%. I am sure, in our next match he will be back to his usual, perfect self. |

Tough game against a 82 rated team while I just lost my RB1 for tomorrow. He could be back for Thursday if ever I can overcome it and will be back for the division round.

This has been one brutal first round. Lots of SeaDevil teams disappeared already from the competition. I take full responsibility for this as I never took the time to do any kind of update. Time to change and show that this SuperCup means something to us. Here is my preview of SD matches in the second round :
16:00:00 Motol Ducks Admirals 1 - - - Växjö Gladiators AFC Sea Devils 1 First match ever between these two. A very tough matchup between two teams that seem to be on the same level. The Ducks have a 81,9 rating against the 81,2 rating of our own Gladiators. RavenCorp, you have to bring your A game to win this one. It light be an excellent test for the tough matches to get you back to Elite next season. Good luck ! 16:00:00 Maykop Blues RZA Elite League - - - The Masked Ducks Sea Devils 1 The Ducks are an Elite team, masked as a league 1 squad while Maykop is feeling really bluesy because they have to get back to their first league. The Ducks have the higher rating by 85,4 vs 82,7. In their only serious encounter, the Ducks won. Kanar will do it again on Monday. Ducks win. 18:00:00 Baltimore Ravens RZA Elite League - - - Space Kraken RZA Elite League PJ's team versus the Kraken of Rufio, the most gifted writer in RZA. If you eat to take the time to go to the forum thread of Elite this season you will see what I mean. The Kraken manager is eventually one of the most gifted, seeing that he scored some victories with a young team costing the fraction of money other Elite teams cost in salary. They met this season and the Ravens pulled off a 42-3 victory. Ravens will also win this one ! 18:00:00 Berinsfield Hornets Monarchs 1 - - - Social Distance Runners RZA Elite League We might see the Hornets in Elite next season. But this should not stop my higher rated team from winning. I hope this match will be a little breather compared to all other matches around this time and especially the one in the last round. Runners win. 18:00:00 Marife-Lacion RZA Elite League - - - Highland Wildcats Claymore 1 Hourt is the clear favorite in this match. His team is much higher ranked and hourt is one of the best managers around. Marife goes to the next round. 21:00:00 Leeds Celtics Sea Devils 1 - - - Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin Admirals 1 The eternal scenario of an English team meeting a Scottish team. In my view Jony will win this one. But the Scots are not to be taken lightly. Both teams have identical rating at 82,1. I just believe, that th Celtics will prevail because of the experience of their genius manager. Celtics win. And there you have it, folks. It would be fun to see all 6 of us go to the third round to continue to kick some a..  |

Best game of the season for my Ducks. Way better than previous round despite my RB1 being sidelined. Good luck to the few other teams left.

Mine was a tough battle. I hoped for a walk in the park.
 What I did not see coming was that the Hornets stopped almost everything for the better part of the fist two quarters. Finally a TD just before half time ignited my team to play a very good second half. After trailing 0-10 I can be very happy with this 27-10 win.
PJ and hourt made the next round without much headache. |
