Thank you for bringing up the playoff picture Dumplings! Time to dig in a bit on the status of our playoffs at this stage (as things will change quite a bit with 5 games to go):
AC playoff picture 1-Juggernaut 10-1 (PD 476) 2-Basterds 10-1 (PD 396) 3-Wolflings 10-1 (PD 363) 4-Kalapana Wild Thangs 10-1 (PD 345) 5-Duluth Eskimos 9-2 (PD 329) 6- Xu Da 8-3 (PD 301) other teams in the hunt Barossa Bulldogs 7-4 (PD 123) Fredericksburg Comanches 6-5 (PD 180) This seems to be about it. Sure, Moorefield Flames and bot East Coast Crushers are both 4-7, but with 5 games to go, they would have to win out and Xu Da lose out. Not happening! NC playoff picture 1- Norfolk Dumplings 10-1 (PD 399) 2- Istanbul Whitings 10-1 (PD 315) 3- Vicious Attack Dogs 10-1 (PD 296) 4- Waukesha Wolverines 8-3 (PD 297) 5- Kokomo Mantis 7-4 (PD 177) 6- Totoras Patriots 6-5 (PD 119) other teams in the hunt Inbhir Narann 6-5 (PD 118) RC Frogs 6-5 (PD 46) (bot) The Blitzing Bison 5-6 (PD -10) (bot) Norfolk Destroyers 5-6 (PD -89) Bulldozer 4-7 (PD 67) Don't look now, but Bulldozer is kind of on a hot streak. Not sure if it will continue or not though, but with a few remaining bots on their schedule, they could sneak in the playoffs. There are some teams that have 3 wins that are still mathematically in the hunt, but unless every player loses their cleats, helmets, and pads above them, they will not gain enough wins to make the playoffs. |

Great game Woolybully65. This one kept me on edge. Certainly could have gone either way. I believe 3rd down conversations as well as my ball control played a pivotal ole in this game.

Re Dragons 2. It is very tough. There are many good teams there. Unfortunately it means it is even a battle to get out of Dragons 2 let alone stay in Dragons 1. But I wanted a challenge and I got one now 
However I am also heavily role playing it for my blog. So right now I am hiring a HC that is not the best but it fits the story I am building. It's fun but it will be hard to be really competitive this way I suspect  Last edited on 2021-01-01 20:00:39 by RonaldVennegoor |

Dumplings big match reviews of 2nd January:
Xu Da 9:38 Wild Thangs - 7 wins in a row now for Wild Thangs who only conceded 3 FGs in this comprehensive win. Cleo "Patra" Messer with another 144 yds rushing and 2 TDs on 25 attempts. Attack Dogs 21:52 Mantis - The NC South shows that on any given day they have a team that can win. Nailed on for the division Attack Dogs came undone at the Kokomo Municipal Stadium where they were intercepted twice and fumbled once. Conversely Mantis didn't turn the ball over at all whilst scoring over 50. Frogs 17:29 Wolverines - Frogs kept it close until the end of the 3rd Qtr but in the end the Wolverines had enough to win. Frogs will need to improve on converting only 1 out of 10 3rd Down opportunities if they want to make the playoffs. Patriots 24:30 Wolflings - A barnstorming finish with 14 pts in the 4th Quarter wasn't enough to get by the Wolflings who had 8 different players attempt a rush (although only one player averaged more than 3 yards an attempt). 12 games gone and 4 to go... Next weeks games with playoff impacts: AC Wolflings @ Comanches - #4 v #8 Xu Da @ Dumplings - #6 v 1st ranked NC Team NC Attack Dogs @ Narann - #3 v #6 Last edited on 2021-01-02 14:22:20 by dumpling |

The other 2 games are tough. The Dumplings and Eskimos could play a factor in determining the fate of Xu Da in the playoffs. Barossa Bulldogs also have 2 bots on their schedule, but the other 2 games are tough as well. Basterds and Comanches will play a factor for sure. That Comanches game could determine either one of their fates in the playoffs. Fredericksburg Comanches have the tougher schedules of all the remaining teams. No bots remaining, but could still go 4-0 or 3-1 or even 2-2 depending on the game. My prediction is the top 5 remain the same and Barossa Bulldogs get the last spot. Since they play the Whitings this week, they should lose that game, but the other 3 games remaining on their schedule are winnable games since they have 2 bots remaining. This means they should end up around 8-8. RC Frogs should easily go 3-1 in the remaining part of their schedule, so that should put them at 9-7 if all goes according to Hoyle! Toughest schedule remaining may go to Inbhir Narann...Combined record of the teams they face in these last 4 games is 38-10. I still think they will go 1-3 to end up at 8-8, but could sneak another win! Totoras Patriots may end up going 2-2 or even 3-1 if all goes well. They.....at minimum.....will end up 8-8, and maybe 9-7. My prediction is that your top 5 stay the same in the NC, and the RC Frogs end up with the 6th spot since they have the easiest remaining schedule left. Totoras Patriots could play a factor as well, but I still think RC Frogs take that spot. |

Narann looked to be on the way to a famous win whilst leading 14:23 in the 4th Quarter before an epic comeback from the Attack Dogs, sealed by a 47yd Int returned for a TD. Wolflings 52:10 Comanches - A blow out Xu Da 3:50 Dumplings - Another blow out 13 games gone and 3 to go... Next weeks games with playoff impacts: AC Bulldogs @ Comanches - #7 v #8 - another loss for the Comanches would surely see them slip out of the race NC Dumplings @ Narann - #1 v #6 - Naranns run in is brutal but they are still showing lots of spirit |
