Great defense today Totoras Patriots. Looks like that defense will win you quite a few games this season. You controlled the game in the 4th quarter, and that is what wins games! Great job!

Today's upset:
Vienna Falcons over Bulldozer 18-17. Heck of a game. Vienna pulled ahead at halftime and even had a Safety in the first half. Bulldozer made a valiant effort to come back, but missed a FG early in the 4th quarter. Bulldozer had 2 decent drives, but could not get it in the end zone on them. They did score a TD in the 4th, and that missed FG will haunt them for a while. |

That was a close game. My defense played at a great level. 2 INTs and 1 ToD in the last quarter. I can't ask for more from my D.
NCSouth will be the toughest division, again.

Thunder Week 2 By the Numbers: Results and Preview
You are what you eat. Tied at 14 after 2 quarters, the Kokomo Mantis (1-1) halftime snack of choice was donuts. As a result, the Totorias Patriots (1-1) used 2 fourth quarters TD's rushes both from 4 yards out to win this AC South showdown 28-14. This was a well-played game. TP had more total yards (379-369), a higher rushing average (3.9 - 3.6), more 3rd down conversions (7-5) while the Mantis had more sacks (1-0), higher punting ave (39.5 -39.4) and held the ball longer (30:08 - 29:52). The teams tied in first downs (27). (DL) Mark Tucker recked havoc on the line with 6 tackles, o missed, and 4 sacks for the Istanbul Whitings (2-0) who went on the road and defeated the Waukesha Wolverines (0-2) 24-27. Overall the Whitings had 10 sacks. That's elite stuff... while the Wolverines need to shore up that O-line or this could be a long year for QB Juan Jose' Martin. It could take seasons to shape a decent playbook. For that reason, some games end in rookie fashion. Down 7 with 30 seconds left and facing a 4 down and 2 yards to go the Mooreland Flames (0-2) elected to kick a field goal and this one goes to the Nashville Renegades(1-1) 37-33. The Renegades erased a 16-0 first-quarter deficit as first-round (S39), 22-year-old QB Richie Worrell was stellar going 20-22, 301 yards, and 4 TD. Who needs an offense when the defense wins championships? 10 sacks by the Vienna Falcons (2-0) defense including 3 by LB Daevin Malcolm propelled them to an 18-17 win at home over Bulldozer (1-1), despite the Falcons only rushing 21 times for 35 yards (1.7 average) and going 2 for 11 on third down. The Basterds (2-0), Deflators (2-0), Duluth Eskimos (2-0), Xu Da (2-0), Hong Kong Ravens (1-1), Vicious Attack Dogs (2-0), and Wap Bam Boogie (1-1) all proved to be better prepared than their opponents, while Naran (2-0), STATE oF (1-1), Pinoys (1-1), Woflings (2-0), Comanches (1-1) all beat bots. Upcoming Games To Watch Inbhir Narann (2-0) @ Vicious Attack Dogs (2-0) Vienna Falcons (2-0) @Duluth Eskimos (2-0) Why to watch em' 5 out of the last 10 matches between the Attack dogs and Narann have been decided by 7 points or less. One of these teams will move to 3-0 and sole possession of the NC South where competition is fierce, and any of the 4 teams could win it. Okay, the Eskimos won vs the Falcons 48-12 last season and will most likely win this one. The Falcons have built a good young team and are now on the transfer market adding some key positions - they will be a force to watch in Thunder and then Elite |
