Good luck too all SD1 teams. Draft was not so great for me.
My first round will not discover COVID cure, but he will start someday, mostly for lack of competition at NT/DT. Anyway, I badly needed someone at the position, that's why he was high on my board. Round 2 was a gamble. I do not have a QB after Clovis Peltier, 27y. My round 2 was a 48.7 INT and 5* talent, but is yellowed cap at 40/43. In the unlikely case he caps at 45/48, he may have a future. However he will never be as strong as Tournier or Peltier. Round 3 with pick 95 is obviously not great, but the fact he is uncapped at 28/38 may make soldable by the end of the season. I will not set any target for this season as I do not feel like scouting opponents regularly this season. We'll see what happens. |

Great match Bautzen!
First game I watched live in years, definitely the first under the Havertown name. I didn't think my team had any shot at winning but at the end of the 3rd quarter, it wasn't a run-away for Bautzen. My DBs were getting torn to shreds by QB Yuichi Miki but even with multiple trips in the red zone, GoB only had 1 TD and a 9 point lead to show for it! My front 4 was stout all game, didn't let any big rushes and forced them to throw. That 4th quarter was pretty magical for my team. Bautzen started to look completely gassed. The bend-don't-break defense started to make sense and while my offense wasn't amazing, it was getting the job done. 2 3-and-outs at the end of the 4th by Yuichi and his team sealed their fate. A huge 1 point win for us! I definitely credit most of the success to the defense. They were outmatched in every way that game but kept to the plan and it started to come together at the end. Hopfenperlen pushing us around today. Sadly our PC is shot after yesterday's Supercup win against the Outlaws.
On a different note I think this will be my last season - financial and training mistakes when I was recruiting my current first stringers have left me a long way from being competitive in the post-season and I don't have the inclination to spend another 4-5 seasons re-building. I will go bot at some point this season. Thanks for the competition hope real life goes well for you all. |

I appreciate you saying this. But I don't even scout opposing teams at present and I only have two playbooks. I think maybe a lot of my results are luck and a tactical division switch a few seasons ago. Maybe in future I will return with a new franchise |

You're a great manager and your team is a rising star! Sea Devil's is at a point where scouting in the regular season is a waste of time anyway so don't feel bad for not doing it. Starting over is hard, sometimes I wish I hadn't, so keep your team alive if you think you may come back! All you gotta do is switch off of HR, drop some expenses (YA,high contracts) and sign-on once a month. Your team will be flush with money and players when you want to return! |
