Day 13
1) Team -> Youth Academy
I needed to build level 1-3 of the youth academy, because there had been many incoming transfers to the youth academy within the last days.

Generally the premium youth academy is the best way to build your future stars. You can have multiple players from the academy each season, which are already better trained than most of the players from the draft class. In the near future I will also build level 4 to have the maximum capacity of players. Once these are capped on physicals and most academy players have potential as future starters, I will activate the premium youth academy. Currently I will save the extra costs of 550.000 per update.

Day 15
1) Front Office -> Fanshop
The construction of the fanshop is finsihed, so we will buy the second smallest package of all the stuff available for the shop. Whenever the stocks are running down, I will reorder more.

Day 18
Things are getting a bit more quite. I have bought three more player to mention on the transfer market:
22 year old WR for 500.000 @ 21.500 salary (pretty good player at low costs)
20 year old DL for 500.000 (he is currently the guys being pushed with the extra training points in the youth academy)
19 year old QB for 200.001 (an interesting QB from this years draft class)

In the meantime the youth academy has filled with 22 players, where I am currently trying to find the caps on the physicals. Most of the 19/20 year old players have been moved straight to the senior team to replace some of the 25/26 year old players on the initial roster. Mid term they will be just cheap gap fillers.

There are currently 13.500.000 in our bank account.

The team record is 4-0 (League) and 2-1 (Supercup). All wins had been against bot teams.

On Friday we will start a series of friendly games against the Streamers, who started the game at the same point of time, to test some game settings.

Day 35
Time for another recap. The transfer market is quite difficult. There are basically no cheap players with skills around 35. So I have bought some more youngster, which replace some players from the initial roster:

22 year old RB for 170.001 @ 15.000 salary (solid quick backup, ball manager)
19 year old OL for 60.001 @ 9.000 salary (not stong enough for a future starting spot, but already well developed, stone wall)
20 year old DT for 1.000.001 @ 17.500 salary (should be a long term starter)
22 year old DT for 150.001 @ 8.500 salary (future backup, needs training)
22 year old WR for 148.205 @ 21.500 salary (a good guy, but not perfect)
20 year old OL for 500.000 @ 12.000 salary (future starter, needs training)
22 year old TE for 107.022 @ 17.500 salary (depends on the caps of his physicals)
24 year old QB for 500.000 @ 42.800 salary (probably our new starting QB)
18 year old OL for 2.750.002 @ 9.000 salary (the first multi million deal, good basics and well trained for his ago, he will start directly)

There are currently 43.500.000 in our bank account. The fixed income on the weekly u p d a t e exceeds the expenditure still by 1.2 million.

The team record is 8-0 (League) and 5-3 (Supercup). All wins had been against bot teams.

Day 43
The first major milestone was achieved, our new franchise QB arrived. This was the most crucial task as there aren't too many of them.
I was scared, when I saw a 5 million bid from the reigning elite champ, but was willing to pay 20% of the current bankroll (approx. 12 millions).
At the end we could avoid a bidding war and got him for reasonable money. He has exceptional speed (50 + track star), which is important to avoid sacks.
His strength 45.6, intelligence 47.5 and talent 4.5 are all very good. He is 23 years and has already 3.5 stars experience. The A skills are above 30, but could have been already a bit higher.

Our new arrivals:
21 year old OL for 200.000 @ 10.000 salary (exceptional strength and teamwork, needs training)
23 year old TE for 142.627 @ 18.000 salary (very good physicals)
22 year old SF for 760.001 @ 15.000 salary (very quick and intelligent, ball stripper)
20 year old WR for 300.001 @ 24.000 salary (quick and already well trained)
23 year old QB for 5.323.125 @ 31.000 salary (our franchise QB)
21 year old OL for 265.001 @ 26.000 salary (good strength, but to slow, needs to get converted from TE to OL)
22 year old LB for 650.001 @ 7.500 salary (pass rushing speedster, needs training)

There are currently 55.000.000 in our bank account. The fixed income on the weekly u p d a t e exceeds the expenditure still by 1.1 million.
57 players have been bought on the transfer market for 17.2 millions, the first 4 players have already been sold without any profit or loss.

The team record is 10-0 (League) and 6-4 (Supercup). All wins had been against bot teams. Tonight there is the first supercup match, where we may have a chance to beat the first non-bot team.

The training of the players is progressing well and more and more caps on the physicals are getting visible. In about two weeks the "free position change" period ends for the first players, so I will be looking for some more coaches soon.
There is still some more fluctuation in my youth academy, once I have found a solid bunch of youngster with good physicals, I will activate the premium youth academy.

The senior team is forming pretty well. The players are a bit younger and less developed as initially planned.
QB: There has been much more movement on this position as expected. I have bought already 4 QBs. A 19 year old is developing pretty well in the youth academy. Our inital 25 year old starter was sold, when I was able to recruit a slightly better 24 year old. Now having found the franchise QB, I would have prefered to keep cheaper 25 year old one. Perhaps I will sell my backup again, as he is too good and expensive for the moment.
RB: There is a reasonable 24 year old starter and 22 year old solid backup. The intend is to buy another one.
FB: Quite happy with this position. I bought a 23 year old starter and will keep a 21 year old from the initial roster as a backup (perhaps the only one, who may stay long term).
WR: Also filled pretty well. 3 good starters (22, 22 & 20 years old) and two more talented backups (20 & 19).
TE: Maybe already a bit overloaded with 3 compareable guys (23, 22 & 22 years old). I may consider selling one of them.
OL: The OL is very young (18 -21) so definitely needs training. Well filled with 6 potential starters and 3 backups.
DL: I am not fully satisfied and will look for some upgrades. There are 5 reasonable starters and 3 backups from the initial roster, which shall leave the team.
LB: Definitively our best position. 4 excellent starters (25, 22, 20 & 19) plus an interesting 19 year old backup.
CB/SF: Oh, we will need some new players to avoid more big play touchdown passes. Currently there are just two good starters and 4 players from the initial roster.
K/P: No player recruited yet, so still looking...

Day 52
Some more players from the transfer market have joined the team:

21 year old DL for 254.001 @ 8.500 salary (capped on strength, maybe a backup DE or could be converted into an DB depending on his speed)
21 year old CB for 234.732 @ 14.500 salary (capped on speed, depending on his speed, he may be trained as DL)
22 year old P for 63.432 @ 9.000 salary (not a top guy, but already experienced and good enough until I recruit a good kicker)
22 year old WR for 300.001 @ 21.500 salary (good physicals, will be a future starter)
21 year old SF for 356.787 @ 17.500 salary (good physicals and intelligence, will be a starter)

There are currently 76.100.000 in our bank account.

The team record is 13-0 (League) and 8-5 (Supercup). The team (current overall rating ~61) played very well in the last 3 supercup games

A 27-21 win in a close game against an average Monarchs 1 team (overall rating ~61)
Another 50-24 win against a poor Dragons 1 team (overall rating ~69), which is in financial trouble and had some very bad calls in the playbook
A respectable 29-30 last minute FG loss against a top Thunder 1 team (overall rating ~76)

Day 57
Some more players have arrived to complete the team:
28 year old WR for 1.000.001 @ 73.500 salary (Superfast and well trained on all skills + sticky fingers trait)
25 year old FB for 859.929 @ 86.000 salary (very well trained, all A-skills close to 40)
21 year old TE for 300.001 @ 14.000 salary (excellent physicals, mabe converted to FB)
24 year old DL for 200.000 @ 15.000 salary (Very strong and intelligent, a bit behind on his training progress)
25 year old K for 66.989 @ 10.500 salary (interim solution, but far better than what we had on the initial roster)

1) Team -> Youth Academy
As we had already 80 millions in the bank, I have build the last level of the youth academy and activated also the premium youth academy.

The fully build youth academy will cost roughly 18 millions maintenance costs per season compared to 5 millions for a level 4 youth academy.
Personally I think it is well spend money. You will get the coach predictions on the youth pulls. I recommend to choose always a player, that is really strong and has good teamwork or is superfast. If there are many of these, I use age, intelligence and teamwork as the decission criteria.
Additionally the players gain more experience and you also have some extra training points. Normally you should get 3-4 players out of the youth academy, which are better than the one's from the draft.

2) Team -> HR Department
I have basically replaced the whole intial roster with some young more talented players, which will mostly stay long term on the team. I don't expect to fire many more players, which would cost you a big amount of the remaining contract value, when the HR department is active.
So I have activated the HR department and negotiated two year contracts with nearly all players, which will definitvely stay on the roster next season. This saved me for the moment 50.000 on the payroll. I tried also to negotiate 3 year contracts with my more expensive players, but just one accepted my offer. I will retry this every week as they will sign for less money the closer we will get to the season end.

You can sign contracts for the current season + 1 at any time for roughly 85% of the asking salary. At season end you can sign them at the same salary for the curent year + 2. Earlier in the season the players will ask for more money for this contract length.
Normally I work with these current year + 2 contracts at season end. Additionally it makes sense to use franchise contracts (current year + 4) on your top talented (4.5 and 5*) players, especially the franchise QB. Normally I try to train the skill up to 40 points and sign the franchise contract, when the player is 26 years old.
You have to pay about 185% of the asking price at the beginning of the season and about 135% at the end of the season.

3) Front Office -> Coaches Market
The first players will reach the end of the free position switch period this week and will need to be re-positioned to their playing position. To provide them with good training and also to gain some extra training points for the youth academy, I have started to hire further assistant coaches. A 35 year old 65 coaching points WR coach has just joined the team.

Most of the top teams follow a 7 assistant coach approach. Normally there are no coaches for RB or FB, TE, SF and Special team. I will do it differently and was consindering 8 or 9 assistant coaches. Generally the more assistant coaches you have the less training each single coach can have. As the salary is exponential based on the coaching points, you will pay less money for your coaching team. Additionally each assistant gives a 10% bonus on your extra training points in the youth academy. It could be e.g. 161 with 7 ACs, 177 with 8 ACs and 195 with 9 ACs, in total about 7 skill points difference per season.
I definitively wanted an extra coach for my Safeties. On average there are two of them on the field and I hope this may avoid some big play touchdowns due to missed tackles. I couldn't find a real argument for a FB, TE and ST coach. The ST coach is only improving the Kicker and Punter and not the other special team players, which normally play out of position. FB and TE can be trained initially as RB and WR and they are having less appearences on the field, than the other postions.

The fixed income on the weekly u p d a t e exceeds the expenditure just by 300.000, mainly due to the activation of the premium youth academy.

Day 71
It is playoff time. Tomorrow we will play the divisional playoffs against the Boxers de Varennes, which just joined the game two weeks ago and still have the initial roster. Predictions are on our side.

Our roster build is basically complete now, but we will still watch for cheap opportunities improving the team. Due to the activated HR department we had the opportunity to sign a few players directly from free agency.

23 year old K for 2.500.000 @ 42.000 salary (already fully trained on kicking, which made him a bit more expensive)
25 year old DE for 589.001 @ 26.000 salary (top physicals, but needs a bit more training)
20 year old OL signed FA @ 10.500 salary (will be a future starter)
21 year old SF signed FA @ 6.500 salary (another future starter)
20 year old OL signed FA @ 8.000 salary (a cheap young backup)
24 year old CB signed FA @ 102.500 salary (the second top CB on the team)

All our top players have accepted a new contract for the next two seasons now.

4 more young assistant coaches (RB, OL, DL & SF) have joined the team, so I am just looking for a QB and CB AC.

End of season 43
Our first season has come to an end, the bowl game has been played and we have won the Claymore 2 trophy

1) Team -> Youth Academy
The 20 year old player got transferred to the senior squad.

2) Team -> HR Department
All players without a contract for the next season have signed a new one year contract.

3) Front office -> Facilities
In the first season the team trained the basics: physicals & positioning/vision. Next season I want to focus also on tackling and blocking, so I have started the construction of the Weight Room.

Generally I am very happy with the first season. The team played 10 games against other managed teams and has won all 5 games, where we had a realistic chance to beat the opponent. A solid basis is set for the next season in Claymore 1:

Money in the bank: 127,081,425
Weekly wages Players: 1,105,607 (currently 41 players on the senior roster)
Weekly wages Coaches: 750,225 (still 2 assistant coaches need to be recruited)
Team overall rating: 65.3%

There is no player from the inital roster on the team anymore. About 25.5 millions have been spend on the transfer market to build the team.

Senior roster - End of season 43

Preview Season 44
It is getting interesting now. Being promoted to Claymore 1 and playing mostly against managed teams, will be a massive change. But I think the team is ready to be competitive, we will set our sporting goals once the game schedule is available.

Finacially we will raise our internal salary cap to 125.000, so we will be able to pay players with skills around 42. This way we should have a very solid financial basis (200 - 250 millions) at the end of the season and should be able to build a good playoff team for season 45.

1) Front Office -> Staff
Another staff member has joined the team. A level 20 Physiotherapist will help to avoid injuries and to handle them better.

2) Team -> Depth Chart
I have set up two depth charts. A standard depth chart with the best players for the competitive games. And an experience formation with the players, that need to boost their experience most, which will be used in bot games and friendlies.
