I tried without blitz today and it cost me a lot. Your passing game killed me

Good game...lucky for me you didn't blitz because I chose to go a little more pass heavy against your run defense

Two losses today with 0 points

No clue what went wrong there... even dayform and luck seem insufficient to explain that.

In my 2 seasons on Elite my team lost two or three times without scoring a single point... it is a bit weird (and awkward) but happens.

Takeaways from the second week of games:

3 undefeated teams (all AC) left: Fighting Pumpkins, Yorkies, and Chaser.

The Wildcats look to prove me correct afterall, the Pumpkins have Admirals all flipped around, and is there cause for concern in Dragons?

"The Wildcats don't look like they've got enough to compete in Claymore quite yet." I talk them up, and I jump right off the bandwagon after one bad loss then they turn around with a dominating division win to bring me back on.

"The Moors in Dragons are a possibility, they play the Elephants on Tuesday to see if they are legit." They started well, but the 2nd half was all Elephants.


1. (3-1) Willemstad Bridges (1)
Bridges had some rough QB play this past week but escaped with at least one win. Chaser on Tuesday will be an early look into the top AC team.

2. (3-1) TigerCats (2)
The Ticats throw an impressive 6 interceptions in their first loss of the season. Skeetz will be happy to get that roll out of the way in time for Saturday's game against a desperate Packers team.

3. (3-0) PR Chaser (6)
I never liked the crazy early bye week, but maybe it's what Chaser needs to start a winning streak against the Bridges on Tuesday. Coming off 2 very good wins, could this team wrest control of Fire away from the Ticats?

4. (3-1) Dumbarajko Elephants (4)
"Chaser, Moors, Kraken, Bonecrushers, Bobbers, and Ticats make quite the test." Starts out 1-1 on this trip after a huge second half against the Moors. Space squid is up next, with Steve rebounding strong can the Elephants retain the division lead?

5. (2-2) Salt City Pirates (3)
Saturday's game against the Ducks is shockingly important for both teams. Actually 4 of their next 5 are against NC playoff hopefuls with Ducks, Ravens, Vaxjo, and a Kraken rematch.

6. (3-1) Raven Loonies (10)
PJ's squad loved being ranked 10 so much they looked great in each game (would be 4-0 without some really bad luck) and is making the point to not only avoid relegation, but make the playoffs. Unfortunately the schedule has other plans. Bobbers, Blitz, Pirates, Yorkies are the next 4 games.

7. (4-0) Peoples Republic of Yorkshire (7)
Yorkies stave off a big comeback by the Wildcats to remain unbeaten. As a reward they get the week off. They might need it with the Packers, Chaser, Ravens, Vaxjo, Pumpkin Ducks, and Wolves all in a row.

8. (4-0) Motol Ducks (16)
Is this the team to beat right now? They've got 4 strong wins already on the resume and that was the most difficult 4 game stretch they'll face.

9. (2-2) Chelt Nam Bobbers (5)
They play the Moors in games 14 and 17, at this rate those games will be pretty fun. Ravens Saturday could be important if they find themselves in a wildcard race.

10. (1-2) Home Malones (11)
The Malones finally get on the board taking advantage of a bad Bridges qb day. A brutal first 3 games has them entering the softer part of the schedule, but they won't overlook a solid Dumplings team. They won't face another winning team until the end of the month.

11. (3-1) Växjö Vikings AFC (9)
Vaxjo started the season with 2 impressive games but followed it up with a couple sub-par performances. They get a couple easier matches and a bye week before jumping into the meat of the schedule.

12. (3-1) Space Kraken (15)
"Pirates Tuesday will be a good barometer if this team is actually ready to compete." They got a little luck, but it looks like the Squid are a contender. This week pits them against 2 more types of contenders, the Elephants who are trying to repeat as a top NC team, and the Moors who are trying to break in to the upper echelon of the NC.

13. (2-2) BobBoy Magpies (14)
"They can't afford a 1-3 start." And they won't, but defeating the Wolves Tuesday is pretty important. The middle of the schedule is pretty easy, but the last 6 are a gauntlet.

14. (1-3) The Beautiful French Ducks (8)
The Ducks recover with a dominating shutout victory over Vaxjo, they'll need to continue this performance with the Pirates and Lions on deck.

15. (3-1) AS Roma Wolves (19)
Wolves v Magpies on Tuesday for temporary 2nd place in the division after a defeat of the Packers. A preview of the last game of the season for playoffs/relegation?

16. (3-1) Norfolk Dumplings (20)
Dumplings had an incredible defensive performance in defeating the defending champs. They'll need more of that when they visit Home to face the Malones.

17. (3-1) Moraira Moors (18)
They couldn't hold on against the Elephants as they fell apart in the second half. Magpies and Kraken this week will show how close they are.

18. (2-2) Highland Wildcats (21)
"They'll know how far away they are from the Claymore crown by Tuesday." Not far at all! What a recovery after the first game embarrassment. They get the weekend off before facing a desperate Packers team.

19. (2-2) San Diego Blitz (17)
The Blitz didn't look very good in either win, but they got them both and are only a game back of the Elephants. They get a bye before heading to Italy for a very important Ravens game.

20. (2-2) Diorite Lions (13)
Getting blanked by the challenger is not what they had in mind. The Lions will find themselves in a fight for the playoffs and relegation for the second season in a row. They'll get a rematch in the last week of the season, it's like the Hounds all over again!

21. (1-3) Green Mark Packers (12)
Wow, what a difference a season can make. This team went from world cup champs and division champs to getting swept by the division. They don't face a team with a losing record until next month. Things are not looking great in Austria. They need to focus on avoiding relegation, the playoffs are too lofty a goal at the moment.

22. (2-2) Vicious Attack Dogs (22)
"We'll see if the Ticats tomorrow can confirm they aren't ready." It wasn't particularly close. Looks like they'll be trying to catch the Dumplings for the privilege of giving it another shot next season. They play twice in the last 4 games.

23. (2-2) BoneCrushers (24)
"5 of the next 7 games are against playoff teams." 0-1 start, they'll get the Elephants Tuesday and then Ticats next Saturday. They need to pull at least a couple wins out of those 5.

24. (1-3) Poznan Knights (23)
"They'll stick in the conversation if they can get a win vs the Dumplings or Ravens." Neither was close and the Polish fans euphoria from week one is wearing off. With 6 straight games against playoff hopefuls coming up it's looking bleak.

25. (1-3) Tampa Bay Bandits (28)
"Big week with the Moors rematch and Bobbers to see if this team can avoid relegation." Couldn't get anything going in the second half against the Moors and they now face an uphill battle to avoid relegation.

26. (0-3) Ergodicity (26)
They started last season 5-1. No such luck this season as 0-4 is staring them in the face. They have a few easier games before going up against the Moors in a must win game.

27. (0-4) Saker Falcons (27)
3 out of 4 games were lost by 1 score. They just need a couple rolls in each and could be 2-2 or even 3-1. Instead, they get Bautzen and then every single one of their remaining games are against playoff hopefuls.

28. (1-3) Mongolian Prairie Weasels 2 (28)
Weasels Gamecocks on Tuesday is important for draft position.

29. (1-3) Bretzfeld Bandits (29)
It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Bandits on Bandits action this Saturday!

30. (0-3) Ghost of Bautzen (30)
After the Falcons game Saturday, all but one team left is a playoff hopeful.

31. (1-3) Hainaut Gamecocks (31)
If they get a loss against the Weasels, they could lock down the first non-bot pick of the draft. Time to hire a top end scouting director.

32. (0-4) Juggernaut (32)
Still running out of time to log back in. Also to sign half a team.

What a game by Rufio defense allowing only 3 points (last 7 don't count it was a garbage time and 7 defense made).

Long season and a really tough schedule left. Even if Monarchs gets both WC spots, I'm still likely relegated.
