Well, considering the Dolphins are officially promoted now and shockingly slugged the Pikes, my 24-21 loss to them in the last round, on their home field (I MotY-d, but still) is not that bad.

Maybe slightly increase weighting of rushing. It might seem I like to nit pick your ranking but it is a really good system. You done good! And congrats to Ergod and Carge on their promotions. |

Congratulations to Dolphins for their promotion to Elite: I'm very proud of beat them in our SuperCup game (one of the few pleasures for me this season)

How to improve the Power Ranking?
- If you could have direct access to the skills of the best 2/3 players per position, perhaps you could get a better forecast. But there are many factors that are impossible to calculate: will the manager use a good tactic? is there a good playbook activated? is there a good Depth Chart for the whole game? ... - If Pete, the creator of the game (!!), does not have a better solution than what he offers (ELO score and Global Rank) ... who can improve it? Complicated.

I think PBs are more important after a certain threshold than the players.
I can clearly remember teams in the past being massively competitive with rosters in the high 60s - low 70s (the last being the Moors I can recall), punching way higher than they should've been able to, while seeing teams around 80 average playing down to their opponents or losing to/struggling vs. teams they shouldn't (including myself this season, for example). You can likely promote from Dragons 2, in an average year, with a roster that's just made up of good players. In Dragons 1 though, with a bad PB, you can easily be in (r) zone even with 80-ish average teams, which in-theory should be good enough to promote to Elite, with good PBs. |

I would like to start a Brain Storming process to see what improvements we can make to the Power Ranking. There are several things I want to rethink: - The first thing that is pretty clear to me is not to do a ranking of each stat (e.g., ranking each team in passing yards). Right now it's like this: o W/L percentage: 74% o Point differential: 7% o Overall rank (off/def): 8% o Opponent's strength: 11%. - What will we do with the games played against BOTs? What would you change? -And another important issue: how to calculate the opponent's strength? using W/L percentage? Power Ranking score? overall rank? Let's go! I am open to your ideas and suggestions.

As for bots I would reduce/limit their influences by 50%. atleast.
One thing that jumps out at me is the weighting you give off/def ranking. Seems a little much. Maybe reduce that to around 4-5% and the left over maybe to schedule toughness and w/l record. |

When I ranked the overall offenses in D2 I put the relevant stats in a spreadsheet and assigned points like in fantasy football then added the total.
1 pt per 10 yards rushing 1 pt per 20 yards passing 6 pt per rushing td 4 pt per passing td The offense rankings for rushing and passing that show on the league page are just the sheer number of yards and don't take scoring into account. If you included interceptions and fumbles that could be a -2 for each? This helped to balance out running vs passing. You could do the same for defense stats to get an overall defense.
