Well the Aliens have despatched the Pretenders (aka the Letaidans) in which was, to be fair, a very close game.
Next up are the Charlatans (aka the Hornets). No doubt the cup organiser, who coincidentally I'm sure also happens to be the Hornets manager will try to perform some jiggery-pokery or make up some rule or other that favour his team. Yet we will not be subdued. We will eat them alive! |

Game 1 results
Hornets 17 Hummingbirds 10 A dominant performance from the Hornets for 3 quarters as they score 17 points to no reply. Then in the 4th quarter they slowed to walking pace and allowed 10 points, but finished on top to take the win. Aliens 34 Letaidans 31 A 1st half of both teams trading touchdowns and enter the half time break 14 - 14. A suspect telephone box is spotted near the Aliens bench, but the fans only see the impressive 20 points scored in the 3rd quarter by the Aliens. The Swiss chocolate playbook makes a comeback in the 4th quarter, but just fall short to give the Aliens a win. Bulls 13 Oilers 16 A close battle between 2 very tough teams went to the wire as they were 13-13 after 4 quarters. The overtime period was a nail-biter as the Oilers missed 2 field goals before finally kicking a 53 yarder to secure the win. Leopards 24 Hawks 30 Another close game as after 4 quarters it was all square at 24-24. The Leopards lose the toss and have to kick off to the Hawks and watched them swoop down the field to victory with a touchdown. |

I think in normal mode the outcome would have been far different. Next season is going to be an interesting one for us. |
