Welcome to season 46!

We start each season with important questions! Really just one this season. Do the Malones have the correct medication to get straightened out? The competition is awfully stiff.

Which new teams can stick around for an extra season in Elite? There's a few candidates. I'd say (after the Bridges) Thunder is up for grabs. The Lakers and Warriors should have a great battle for relegation. How about Ergodicity keeping the Dragon rotation going? Will the Pirates take one last shot or will they let the Kraken slide on in?

Which teams can be a Cinderella this season? I normally have 1-2 I like (And have been awfully good at it, dating all the way back to my Yorkie's selection many seasons ago) but this season I have to go with zero. Does a Bobber resurgence count? Bonedomers could fall into that last playoff spot, but they won't threaten the Fire stalwarts. Vaxjo does have a top 3 QB so they are a threat anytime Alexander Backstrom laces up his digital cleats.

They couldn't put French beer in the trophy, but they still recorded just the 7th 16-0 regular season. Could they be the first to have consecutive perfect regular seasons?

2. (14-2) Willemstad Bridges (2) Second Round
So apparently the Bridges forgot how to playoff. They are 1-4 since their championship in season 41. Typically you'd want to avoid the most dominant team in the AC since their arrival in the postseason, but it seems to be the exact opposite is the case now. Is this the season they turn it around?

3. (14-2) Flaccid Malones (3) Big Soft Loser
The Malones season ended on a very fleshy note as they trusted the pliable leg of their punter as an offensive weapon. The results were unsurprisingly limp and the team recorded an epically formless loss in the championship.

4. (10-6) Peoples Republic of Yorkshire (8) Elite Champion
""Last season's Cinderella team opens the season with the Lions to establish early alpha status. Can they repeat and take the next step of winning a playoff game this season?" They did way more than that! Making it all the way to the championship before running out of gas. This rate of improvement only means one possible outcome is acceptable this season...""

I'm just going to leave this one here. Where else can he go? Win 2 trophies? 3?

5. (14-2) San Diego Blitz (4) Second Round
Speaking of, Steve was in contention for all 3 trophies last season. He made the championship in the Supercup and the CoC splitting them with the Letaidens.

6. (11-5) PR Chaser (5) Second Round
"Will Chaser have enough to steal the division from skeetz?" He certainly will, unfortunately his season ended on a game saving endzone interception with 1 minute to go from the 8 yard line. Heartbreaking.

7. (11-5) TigerCats (6) First Round
Season 45 was a down one for our Hamiltonion friends. They lost the division for just the second time since their Elite arrival and cannot seem to figure out the Yorkies at all having never beaten them in 4 attempts.

8. (9-7) Salt City Pirates (7) First Round
Is this season the siren song for the Pirates? Will they go down in a blaze of championship+relegation glory? The team is still stacked, it's just a very thin stack.

9. (12-4) AS Roma Wolves (9) Conference Championship
A great season by Scratobones comes down to a lost fumble on 2nd and 1 against pass defense in long field goal range down 3 with 3 minutes left. Horrible luck if you are a Wolves fan.

10. (16-0) Space Kraken Monarch Champion
Made the playoffs, lost on a missed kick, got relegated. The newly retro-rebranded Kraken is back and plans to have just as miserable an end to the season as last time!

11. (9-7) Raven Loonies (13)
PJ couldn't handle the Rufio and clearly should have roasted him the moment he saw the error. This season he can do one better and keep that pesky Kraken out of the playoffs with a solid season. The schedule starts fairly easy, but those last 11 games have the real season defining games.

12. (10-6) Dumbarajko Elephants (11) Second Round
"This season he will have no Rufio bulletin board material, where will they get their inspiration?" That material is back, I expect 16-0 from a fully motivated Elephant parade!

13. (8-8) Chelt Nam Bobbers (18)
"Is this the year a team finally steps up to take down the king of Dragons? Not likely." Or 100% likely. Now is this the year Jonny takes back his crown?

14. (10-6) Guns&Roses (12) First Round
GnR took the Dragon crown from the Bobbers and are the first team to wear it since Thunder and Lightning in season 34. If they want to go further this season they'll need to have success against good teams as they went 1-6 against teams with winning records and had a negative PD with 10 wins.

15. (9-7) Highland Wildcats (14) First Round
""You can't really be relegating your darling team from last season are you?" I am."" And I shouldn't have!!! Cattriade sneaks in a playoff appearance likes he sneaks in NFL pick 'em leagues.

16. (16-0) BoneCrushers Fire Champion
Back for their 5th Elite season, the Bonedomers could stick around in Elite for a few divisions, one being guarded by the Ticats and PR Chaser isn't one of them. Maybe he can get a good enough record to steal a playoff spot and get relegated though.

17. (15-1) Bracciano Lakers Admiral Champion
The Lakers are back in Elite and the Daily Rufio couldn't be happier to have one of his most esteemed readers back in the mix. Admirals hasn't been more open since the Comeback Kids retired, the first time, not the ones that retired last week. Yashin definitely has his sights on topping Ralph's borrowed warriors and giving Elite another run on his perfectly balanced budget.

18. (14-2) Ergodicity Dragon Champion
Ergodicity is back for his 7th Elite season in the last 10. Dissolve played the Bobbers tough last season can he upend either of the resident Dragon teams to stake his claim?

19. (8-8) Ralph's Warriors (20)
Gooroo surprised everyone last season, first by stealing someone else's army, then by winning 6 of the last 8 and taking advantage of the Ducks going broke. Can he build off that success and hold off Yashin to stick around another season?

20. (9-7) Norfolk Heroes (19)
Dumpling just couldn't get that little extra to edge the Heroes into the playoffs. This season will be even tougher to grab that last spot with the Monarchs on the schedule.

21. (12-4) Växjö Vikings AFC Sea Devil Champion
Vaxjo had a couple successful Elite seasons before losing 10 straight doing a mini-rebuild. Is the rebuild over? Ongoing? Here just for the draft pick?

22. (15-1) The Raspberry Bush Galaxy Champion
The Bush is the next contestant on break up the Elephant/Blitz Galaxy stranglehold. They beat the crap out of everyone in the playoffs, but Galaxy isn't known for it's top level competition. The team will show some flashes, but Dumba and Steve don't need to check their mirrors quite yet.

23. (16-0) Trois-Rivieres Oilers Monarchs Runner Up
First time Eliters from the French side of Canada had a nice season until they ran into Elite caliber teams going 1-4 last season. And if the schedule wasn't hard enough with 6 games against; the Malones, Pirates, and Kraken plus one against the Elephants, Blitz and Bridges they happened to pull the Ducks for their Sea Devil bonus game. That's just too much to overcome for a rookie Elite team. I fully expect them to challenge in 48 though.

24. (15-1) Stone Mountain Hawks 2 Claymore Champion
Another first timer here. This time it's a really high salary team that's only been around since April. I'm not sure what happened with the first Hawks of Stone Mountain but this group only lost 2 games all season.

25. (15-1) Diorite Lions Claymore Runner Up
CCDiorite is also back, I'm sure he'd love to reclaim his Elite spot from the Wildcats. It'll be a tough road as Claymore looks to be balanced once again this season.

26. (15-1) Social Distance Runners Sea Devil Runner Up
Buzi's here!!!! Body parts have been regenerated just in time for the beating his still rebuilding team is about to take. This solid manager will need to determine how hard he's going to try or if he's just here for the draft pick.

27. (15-1) Kalapana Wild Thangs Thunder Champion
Stizz says he learned from season 43. Let's see if he can put that knowledge to work. Can't be worse than the last attempt right?

28. (14-2) Istanbul Whitings Thunder Runner Up
The Whitings are back again looking to recapture that season 39 magic. They won't topple the Bridges, but knocking off the Heroes is the first step.

29. (14-2) Gettysburg Historians Admirals Runner Up
A rookie team from Admirals sneaks in before the 30's. There were zero marquee wins coming from Gettysburg last season. Hopefully they've addressed some shortcomings and this season won't go south.

30. (14-2) Cargese Dolphins Dragon Runner Up
The Dolphins are a tougher team to gauge here as they beat some decent teams last season but got absolutely bludgeoned by a couple Elite teams. I expect a learning season with a hopeful return, but other than Dissolve no Dragon teams ever come back.

31. (15-1) Mongolian Prairie Weasels 2 Galaxy Runner Up
They went 3-13 last time around. Have they improved and learned from the last Elite attempt? Even if they have I don't think the roster is strong enough to compete, but hopefully a pair of top draft picks helps him get there.

32. (12-4) Aberthaw Dolphins Fire Runner Up
Zero quality wins and no Supercup playoff appearance has got our second Dolphin squad at the bottom. I am really excited about week 16 when we get Dolphin on Dolphin action.

Glad to get the chance to play in the Elite League. Had some really high salaries coming in after last season, so had to let some guys go, but hope to still be fairly competitive. Looking forward to the season.

I got my #2 as my first pick. 19 years, two trait LB, but speed capped at 43.6. Strength at 38.5 with no cap, so if it goes really high (47 at least) he will stay.

Second round: All my wanted picks already gone. 19 years, 4.5* talent, 44.3 int, strength yellow at 41.4, speed no cap at 43.3. He was TE but we will see where and for what he will be trained. He is staying for sure

Third round: 21 years, 4.5* talent, 44.3 int (same as second one), strength yellow at 39.6, speed no cap at 39.7. If speed goes very high he will be one to keep.

So better 2nd and 3rd round (it looks like that right now) than 1st.
