Thank you for the replies. I have a question based on ablefty's reply. I do get that with the 3 on d line you have more coverage. If you use 4 does the pressure on the qb increased enough to be worth it? I think I'm asking this out loud more so I remember to test a few scrimmage games to see. I'm also wondering if you had 5 monster dline and monster lb to blitz if it is fast enough to get to the qb before he can make a completion. I suppose that is just a matter of risk/reward but I'll experiment to see how much risk and reward that is. DL get many fewer sacks than linebackers. How much they actually pressure the QB is a matter of opinion. The quality of your players adds a variable, of course, but it's important to aim for having pass d vs a pass play etc. |

My top 3 last season were DL and this season 2 of the top 3 are dline and one is a sf.
I saw your top 4 or 5 both seasons are all LB. I'm going to take a stab at the reason it is different is that all of last season and up until the last few games this season I rarely blitzed. I am only stating that to say I hadn't thought of LB as the sack leaders because I wasn't blitzing. That being said I think I can now see if I am blitzing my LB it will put enough pressure despite having the 3 DL. Thanks for that tidbit about LB being the leaders in sacks. |

Question about QB Running. Do you find it necessary to direct the qb run direction? Does a QB run better up the middle vs the edges? I know it can also depend on your oline so aside from that.

Does changing the playbook DURING a game affect the rest of that game?

Correct. I believe (I'm making an assumption) that the game sim is running before the actual start time so what you are seeing "live" is really the playback and some of it live?
If not for that I would have proposed having a timeout option if you were watching live to call an audible. lol |

When the kickoff is at 9pm, the sim of all games starts at around 8:15pm. Of course it takes a while to process all games, so might be one game is processed at 8:16, and another at 8:18, but yep, you see a playback of the action that was calculated before. This is one of two reasons we do not allow live calls. The other reason is fairness. One cannot assume each manager can be online during gameplay. |

Two questions
1) Is there a limit on how many entries can be made in a playbook ? 2) Is there a point when there are so many entries that they may began to corrupt ? Or maybe this is unknown ? Last edited on 2022-04-15 03:56:42 by 4 Aces |

I know there has to be a way to create a playbook that sets up long touchdown passes. I've seen managers who have to have done that to produce like they do. My team has been set up for long drives and controlling the ball. I'd like to incorporate opportunities for long touchdowns. Is anyone willing to give a tip of how to set that up? Thank you so much!

A lot of those long td passes comes from catching the D in a called run defense. |
