Does Footwork benefit positions other then offensive and defensive linemen? Or other then "tackles?" Would it benefit a cornerback, running back or quarterback? Thanks!

According to Jack6's fabulous blog - the link is to Section 04, training your players - yes for everyone bar P and K, though at a much lower level of importance for most positions.

Manual

Footwork
Footwork is the skill to determine how stable a guy is on his feet. Tackles and Blocks at the LOS are well supported by footwork. Tackles besides the ones on the LOS might benefit from Footwork, too.

Yes, I read that already. Thank you. But that's why I asked if it helps a QB or RB? Because, as it says in the manual, it helps other "tackles" other then the line of scrimmage players. Running backs don't tackle. So does that mean Footwork doesn't help non-tacklers like offensive players? Should I then only train Footwork on my defensive players? Because they all "tackle?" I'm trying to fully understand what that sentence means in the manual. As of now, its a little confusing.

As Jack pointed out in his guide he put for all players (except K/P and O-line and D-line), footwork as a C skill.
If you ask me, in real life, every player needs footwork, but this is a game so we don't really know how much of an impact footwork does for other positions except O-line and D-line.
I, for example, do train footwork until a certain point and i train it more after my players get to a certain skill level, and i have seen other managers who also train footwork and other who don't.
The decision is up to you.

the ranking of players across the board seem to benefit from high footwork. I train footwork for all my players.

not the highest priority but always a good choice if you want reasonable salaries.

I would always take a

45 tack/pos/vis defender with 35 footwork

over a

46 tack/pos/vis defender with 25 footwork

Yeah I train it too. But recently I've been training my players in the youth academy with Footwork on the presumption that it does help all players. I think I'd rather get it out of the way early for non-linemen. That way I may not have to train them out of position latter when I attempt to train Footwork on my Running Backs.for instance. Thanks for the replies gang!

About INT.

How important you guys think it is, for positions NOT associated with high INT, normally.
I.e. not QB, not MLB. Say, TE

Just got a player in the academy with possibly very high potential, not yet confirmed because he's 16 yrs old, but my hopes would be very high. If not for one thing. INT 20.4 :-)

I know that it's anybody's guess, but I prefer the guess of those anybodys who "ate their teeth" playing RZA, over my inexperienced own guess . So I'd be grateful for the advice.
a) Keep? (hoping he'll reach the sky with physicals)
b) Say bye-bye? (free the space for better youth)
