A day ago I signed Esava Tuilau from Free Agency, but they are not showing up on my player page or HR Department pages. They do show up on the depth chart, however. I thought maybe it needed to wait for the new day update, but that didn't change anything.
As an aside, I also think that it's possible the engine didn't account for my Assistant Coaches during my last training/youth pull. All the prospects had "maybes" instead of actual value ranges, and when I signed a player at the position of my best AC they received no bonus to any of their skills. Maybe it was just poor luck, but it seemed completely out of the ordinary with what I've otherwise experienced so far. |

The player is there now.
For the training: just create a proper team with players set to each position. As long as you try to "cheat" for progress, your coaches are not willing to spread their wisdom. Check the manual for more info. |

All of my players are in the "free position change" period, which according to the manual says that they do not count towards the position limit for ACs. I even confirmed if this was the case with other veteran players, as I thought it felt very cheesy to do. If this is wrong, I am happy to change it, but the manual should be updated to reflect this.

I believe the timing can be awkward if the free position period expires the same day as the training.
I. E. You could still change the player that day, but for training purposes it acts like it's not in free position switch period because of timestamp differences something or other. If every player is in free period still after today then just ignore me and disregard this tidbit for this specific scenario. |

The specific issue I had wasn't with any particular player (though only I think one of my players is currently close to their free switch period being up). It was instead with my entire team and the youth pull, and was only for that one spin. This week it was back to normal. But last week all of my youth players were listed as "maybe X" instead of "quite X/really X" etc. And when I signed one of the players, they received no apparent bonus from the AC. Like I said... maybe I was just unlucky, but since hiring coaches, I haven't experienced that before. |

Only players in positions with AC gets the bonus.
OL don't get SPE. QB don't get SPE or STR bonus (I forget which one). 16y get less bonus than 19y. I'm just trying to come up with the slightly more obscure things in case any of it helps. Maybe, but if it's not any of those then my troubleshooting skills are expired for "not bug" explanations. |

It was a 16 y/o LB... but what was more strange to me was that all of the prospects had about half of their traits listed as "maybe", whereas most of the time I only have one or two total at most.

In the youth pull, it will give you estimations on projected skill caps.
For instance, the LB I pulled was: quite talented, might be agile, might be strong, quite fast, might be intelligent Since I got the Premium Academy I've been recording the cap estimations for the player's I've taken, and have eleven players tracked so far. Of those, no other player has a single "might be" listed. In general, I only see perhaps one or two "might be" listed at all for all of the prospects during a youth pull. Yet for that particular youth pull, EVERY prospect had multiple "might be" listed (rather than quite or really or superfast etc). Like I said, the law of big numbers could make that a simple outlier, but Occam's Razor would lead me to think there was some kind of bug. I may be wrong, but my guess is that since the manual says the following: "Based on the level of your coaches, your manager-rank and the level of your Youth Academy you will receive a Coaches remark for each of the Youth pulls... The better your Coaches (HC and Assistant Coaches) are, the better the remark will be." ...that there may have been an error processing my coaches that spin for whatever reason, thus resulting in getting a very poor read on the prospects. |
