Right now I'm locking for a replacement of a coach of mine.
The problem is, I need a specific amount of CP and I'm getting a bit annoyed to look every day whether an AC did show up on the market fitting that CP and then still there is the problem with the exp/con/age parameters. So my suggestion is, that a coach with LESS CP can be hired and then be trained INTO the CP amount the managers wants to have. How? The coach has to be hired as usual. Then the coach can be send on a training which gains him 1 CP per training. A training works instantly, but in the RZA-week of training (so between 2 training updates) he is not available, hence on gameday he is BASIC and also on the next training update. The training also cost money (say the weekly wage or double) and after the training he gains of cause the CP point and accordingly his weekly wage rises. A coach can only participate on max 5 trainings. Example: I need an AC of 60, but find only a suitable with CP 57. I hire him for a weekly wage of 40.000 and send him to training for 80.000. Until after the next training u p d a t e he is only valued as 50 (BASIC) and the players gain therfore less training and no game boni. After the u p d a t e he has CP 58 and a weekly wage of 48.000. I decide to send him again, for 96.000. Again, less training for the players and no game boni. After training he has CP 59 and a wage of 57.000. I send him to another training, for 114.000. Less training and no boni again until training u p d a t e is done. Afterwards he has CP 60 and a wage of 68.000. After that I use him as coach regularly. It too 3 tarining updates, did cost rougly 300.000 extra and cost me also less training on that position for 3 trainings and no boni on gamedays. |

Sounds good for me. I have never understood why coaches can not be improved (in terms of CP).
As an alternative: coaches may be "trained" during the offseason/season rollover instead of during the season. It may turn things more easy for wage calculations. Edit: Another suggestion inside it: it may not be limited to 5 trainings. I think the only limitation should be training only one AC/HC per season. Last edited on 2022-07-04 20:17:27 by linkleo911 |

I've been thinking about what we go through to replace a coach, (although my idea is mainly geared towards replacing a "retiring" Head Coach). If you have a retiring head coach you have to hire his replacement at the same time as you cut your current head coach. You will suffer a moral hit when you do this, and that hurts if you do it during the season, more so if during the playoffs. And if you are having a successful Super Cup season, you may still have a playoff game after the coach’s market is completely closed. My Suggestion: (This may not reflect a real-life situation, but seems to be a fit our RZA universe.) If possible, it would be great if we could hire a replacement Head coach, while keeping the current head coach (but only if your current head coach has announced his retirement). This would put you over the limit for Coaching Points, so that may be a programming issue? But say if those CP’s could be ignored until you release your current head coach, or at seasons end. This would give managers a much better option(s) for finding a suitable replacement. You should have to pay both head coaches (or maybe 50% of replacements salary, until he is put in charge). |

It would be easier if no penalties are applied when replacing a retiring coach DURING the entire (last) season.

Totally agree with this. I can't understand why there is such a shortage of coaches. In RL you can always find someone - they may not be the best but they are available.
They should be able to gain experience based on the number of games played and also some training. Also agree there should not be a penalty for replacing them in the last season - at the very least in the last couple of months of the season. |

And I bump this suggestion also, since again I'm search for coaches and no wonder, they do not show up in the config I like, not even on CP level, less on exp and con level.
So having a bit more flexibility would be nice. |

I like this idea of being able to train coaches as other games I have played had such features. In those games, coaches trained similar to players, just much slower. For example, it might be a 1 CP/season rate of training, or potentially even slower than that. Wage would increase with training, but you wouldn't have to pay extra to train your coaches. Another thought for how this could be implemented.

So yeah, they are hard to find. |

Not to annoy you, but to make it a competition to get the best coaches. For the very same reason I was truly never spending a single thought on allowing coaching for coaches, even this was brought up a few times. |
