Problem: There's no way to know at what times you will have the ball on the clock, so choosing plays to "set up" the defense provides inconsistent results.
For example, if I want to start the game running out of I-form my first several first downs, and then pass the next couple times, I'm trying to guess using the clock function when I'll have the ball. I can set the first 5 or 7 minutes as running, but depending on who kicks off, the pace of game, and how well the team is playing, I could have anywhere from 0-10 1st downs during that time. If I get fewer, then it isn't setting up the defense, but I don't really want to run the same play 10 times. Proposed solution: Add a counting dropdown option to any particular set of conditions. Using my above example, I could choose to have the conditions 1st quarter, 1st down, more than 10 yards from goal, and s e l e c t 5 times to run out of I-form. Then regardless of the time on the clock, it would choose run the ball my first five 1st downs. My next line could be the same conditions, but with pass for 3 times. Then maybe I'd run from some other formation for the next 5 instances of those conditions. |

Are you sure?
Sounds kind of less controlable than what we have today. |

I will not presume to argue with the provider of game content. I do not know what it would take to make this happen from a programming standpoint, but I would appreciate having that option available.
