Most of you probably/hopefully don't remember that, but may be someone does (Pete knows the answer, for sure, but I'm not sure if that's the kind of question he's likely to answer
 ).
How do bots arrange their "draft boards"? Are they "smart" enough to differentiate between two candidates with identical ratings and age but one of them with trait(s)? Or do they pick by random (fingers crossed they do :-D)? Or (that's my best guess) - do they arrange their lists based on age first, followed by ratings? I hope it's a question I'll only have any use for it once. Nevertheless, noob that I am, I can spend hours trying to decide which one of two players would be a better pick for my totally useless (atm) team, and obviously the young ones are taking the most of that time, so it'd be a big help if I knew there is no point looking at 18-yrs olds at all, cause having pick no 32 I stand no chance of getting one

The related question.
When are draftees picked by BOT teams (those few, considered worth further career by the game engine) released and placed on the Transfer Market? Is it after the final round of the draft? |

Is it after the final round of the draft? When you check on drafted players b BOTs in this draft, we had just 2 rounds, they are already with 'no team'. So they are released instandly. They are then part of the BIG pool of free agents, of which every day a couple are selected randomly and placed on the transfer market. So it can happen that the super-OL from this years draft is available tomorrow or in 2 seasons or never until he retires. The problem is of cause, they don'r get training during free agency, so they get less and less interesting, the older they get. |

Oh.
My first thought - damn. So much for plans to get that 50 str +StWa from the secondhand. My second thought - and that's the way it should be. Precisely to avoid what could turn into a massive de facto extra draft. With massive advantage to those whose list is in the bot league (because they, including me this season, have the advantage of having it fully scouted). Danke very much. Another related question: do bots "set" a draft order or they just pick at random based on the list available? If they have a draft order, all bots share the same order or each one have a random list of priorities?

So I think the answer to your question is - completely random (well, quasi random, strictly speaking, but for all practical purposes it's equivalent to random ), no priorities.
For example, at the time when the bot team picks, the engine takes the next random number ( 0.0<=x<1.00) from the preset table / generates one from the quasi random procedure, and based on this number calculates which of the remaining draftees to pick. Say, there are 57 draftees left, at the time when BOT Power team is about to draw. The engine gets quasi randomly number 0.23. 0.23 times 57 = 13.11 cut the fractional part, add 1, gives 14 14-th player starting from the top of the list (of the remaining draftees) is picked.
