Short version:

I it possible to change a player's nationality NOT to the nationality of my team, but to the nationality of my choice?

Detailed version:

I got a new draftee. Last name "Greber", the first name I can't spell from memory. It's probably Albanian, since his original nationality is Albania.

My standard procedure with those new players, whose nationality doesn't ring any bells regarding football, is to reroll. That's the case with Albania, in my head - I apologize to all Albanians if it doesn't go in hand with Your own opinion, but in my case it's not even an opinion - it's simply what's in my head, and that head so far has had very little influx of knowledge about football in Europe.

But I always prefer to keep the last name, only changing his nationality to the default for my team (USA), and his first name (so the Immigration won't break their pens/tongues before they get it right )

This time, however, the last name, Greber, doesn't even sound Albanian (well, it might be Swiss Albanian). It sounds German. The player has very nice stats (definitely a keeper, possibly even a franchise player), I thought - why not keep the last name, but change both his nationality and his first name to pay the honour to our host. Pete Greber, Germany.
My small way to say thank you for those 50 seasons.

Clicking on the flag doesn't show any options to change it.
The "Rename player" allows changing the name (in 2 different ways), but the option to change the nationality seems to only allow changing it to the default (the US in my case) by checking the box, or to keep the original.
I there any way, other than molesting Pete to do it manually, to change te nationality of a player to Germany?

ps. I am afraid the answer to the loong post above will be very short. No.
If that's the case, Pete, in case you read it - I am not going to spam your mailbox with so unimportant things. But if you don't see any reasons not to (personally I don't see any possible reasons not to), AND if you have time to do it - please fix the nationality of my new CB (the most underrated position in football, in my personal opinion, and my favourite, btw), Greber (ID: 101046205) to "Germany". At the cost of any number of credits you consider reasonable.
I'll fix the first name myself.

Damn... When I was writing posts above, I clicked on the "Rename" option just to make sure I didn't confuse the options. I didn't click on either "reroll" or "use this name", but apparently when I was logging out - he was actually rerolled. Got a completely new name, and now I can't even change the name. Must have forgotten close the window or something.
Oh well. I have a feeling it's too much hassle now. But if it was possible, for any number of credits, I am asking for the change of first name to Pete, last name back to original Greber. And Germany instead of the US, but the least important of the three.
What I can promise is it'll never be a problem with me again.

How do you just change parts (first, last) of the full name of a player?
As I use that function you can only reroll the whole string and can't type the name you want, only roll as long as you are satisfied?

Hmm... I think the most probable answer is that I was simply wrong.
Sorry for confusing you.
Probably from some other sports manager I had at the back of my head that if there is a box for the new name - you can type something there and then accept.
Oh well.
