Good game Argos.
My defence played great in key moments, starting with a great game by my DEs. Good luck in the final game. ![]() |

It was close between the Mülheim Seahawks and us until our Second-Round-Pick of this seasons draft made a Big-Play-Interception. That stopped the opponent on their own 23 and we could kick a FG to get 9 Points up with only 1 Minute to go in the fourth quarter

The Lions have to win, though, to keep playing for the cup, as they lost their first game against the Frogs. Kickoff for this game is at 1800. My team luckily walked out of this one with a win despite a horrible tackling performance by my defense, but the Lions aren't dead yet. The Falcons win over the Frogs keeps them alive. A Lions win by 12+ combined with a Prairie Dogs win by 11+ would let the Lions advance. And to keep the pressure on, my team isn't a lock to advance yet either. Lots up for grabs in the final day of round robin play next week |

Groups 1 and 2 are still open, yes. The other two groups already have found the teams that will advance, in both the bottom two teams and the top two teams will play each other next sunday, so there will be no major re-arrangement there. The results from yesterday: Air Force Falcons 27:16 RC Frogs Sunrise City Prairie Dogs 31:21 Diorite Lions Alert Polar Bears 3:27 Constanta Ravens Miami Dolphins 10:34 Novosibirsk Eagles Sydney Sea Eagles 38:14 Aberthaw Dolphins Mülheim Seahawks 20:29 HAMBURG SEA LIONS Saker Falcons 17:41 Dumbarajko Elephants The Pinellas Pikes 43:7 Deimon Devil Bats |

Match: RC Frogs vs. Diorite Lions

The Lions doubt that. It wasn't a catch with hands. The Frogs argue that nobody has hands in this cup. @Radu91 & ptdoc2017 ![]() Last edited on 2023-04-15 15:31:23 by pete |

Day 3 in the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup, and the Group Round is coming to a close this weekend.
While the groups 3 and 4 are already decided, with two 2–0-teams and two 0–2-teams playing each other in both groups, the groups 1 and 2 are still up for grabs. In Group 1 the Frogs (1–1) get a visit from the unbeaten Prairie Dogs of Sunrise City. The Falcons (1–1) fly to the northern Great Lakes where the Lions (0–2) reside. The Prairie Dogs and the Falcons both advance with a win. The Frogs advance with a win if they manage to make 21 points more than their opponent. Even the Lions can still advance, but they have to win by a big margin against the Falcons AND hope that the Frogs lose. In Group 2 the chances of the 0–2 Dolphins advancing are pretty slim since they have to make up at least 77 points to jump the Eagles (1–1) or the Polar Bears (1–1). Which is even more unlikely due to the fact that the latter play each other, with the Eagles having the advantage of already owning 2nd place in the group behind the unbeaten Ravens of Romania. Meanwhile, somewhere in an undisclosed area, construction for a new site has begun. The games for the first Animal Kingdom Cup garnered enough buzz and attention for high ranking decision makers to build a stadium with surrounding adventure site, honoring and remembering the very first games amongst animals on the ark all those years ago. Rumours tell that the stadium will even resemble the ark in form and shape. Plans seem to be that the final game of the Friendly Cup should be played at this new site, but with another 3 weeks to go there may be enough time to make that happen. And there are still some interesting games to be played until then ![]() Good luck to everyone today ![]() |

Phew, we got shut out yesterday by the Sydney Sea Eagles. I suspected us to lose, but not being able to score still hurts
![]() But be it as it may: We still advance to the "Win or go home"-part of the tournament. And as 7 other teams do as well, there are of course the 8 teams that did not advance. So we say "thank you for participating" to both pods of Dolphins (one from Miami and one from Aberthaw), the Frogs, the Lions, the Eagles, the Seahawks, one flock of Falcons (the Saker one) and the Bats ![]() |
