We now have only 18 divisions in SC, total 288 teams.
Which is better, more games vs human players. How many teams will now go into PO? Still 128 or less? |

The number of PO rounds stays the same, therefore the number of PO Teams has to stay the same, as well.

And the cut off for SC playoffs will be lower. I predict that a 9-6 record would be enough this season.

You're assuming all of the divisions have a clear hierarchy of teams. With deeper divisions, I not so boldly predict there will be fewer 0-loss teams and a lot more 2-4 loss teams, so there's no guarantee a 9-6 team will make it. We need to see how it plays out, but I actually would be surprised if a 9-6 team qualifies
