A tough start of the season for me. Today i face melittlemenonthepitchhitchin and Tuesday it's the Hamburg Sea Lions. Guess I'll see what my team is made of right away this season.

The third quarter in our game must have been the craziest to date: a Kick-Off Return TD of 99 Yards, a Safety and a 56-Yard-Pass-TD all within the first two minutes, then 2 INTs thrown by our QB in subsequent "drives" and another TD on the 0:00-mark

Even more crazy are the 12 sacks that the Defense amassed, 5 alone by a LB that was just acquired in the offseason

Here's hoping this is sustainable

Sorry about the ending of the game for you, I got very lucky with 2 injuries right at the end to give my cr@ppy kicker a chance that normally wouldn't happen.

True, the 2 late sacks gave you the field position to kick the last second FG, but your kicker missed 3 FGs in the 1st half all from 41 yards and closer, so the score easily could have been more in your favor. Plus my CBs couldn't tackle anyone, and my QB was under pressure all game long. It was a good close game, but the right team won. Congrats!

It was a busy 1st quarter as Hamburg turned it over 2 times in their first 2 drives, turning into a 10-0 lead for Morgantown. Then the Mad Dogs returned the favor, throwing 2 interceptions of their own. Add a 58 yard TD by Hamburg that led to a 10-10 tie at the end of the 1st quarter. The rest of the game calmed down a lot, until the end of the 4th. 3 interceptions in the last 3 minutes with a tie game was very weird. Then i found another hole in my playbook when my team didn't kick the FG as time ran out. The Sea Lions easily scored in OT to end it. A rough loss, took me a while to get over this one, but an 0-2 start of the season isn't a surprise looking at who my opponents were. Good game.

I have a feeling that the rest of your season will go a lot better than the start.

... at which point I was already exhausted

I was in total disbelief when that happened

It was an exciting game, yes I'm sorry that you lost your second game in a row in such manner
And as much as I like the honors to be seen as a too good an opponent to win against (thank you ), there's still a lot of work to do obviously... we will not stand a chance against the Packers or VenoM with this kind of performance. An TD/INT-Ratio of 1:1 is pretty atrocious, no?

If I was down 1-3 points, my team would've tried the FG. I forgot about needing to put a line into the playbook for a tie.

Yeah, I'm playing the Packers later this year too, and I expect very bad things to happen to my team that game. The rest of my schedule looks like either winnable games or games that could go either way.

Your schedule looks a bit more challenging than mine, but still a possibility of a successful season for you. But yes a 1:1 TD/INT ratio needs to improve.

We're nearly halfway through the season, and we already saw a few surprises, the biggest one may be the win of the Ubernoobers over the SP Nightstorms last Saturday.

A few Regulars in the Playoffs over the last seasons are struggling. And the Eagles from the AC East seem to have left, sadly

3 Teams are still unbeaten, none of them in the NC. The Packers of the NC West would be, if not for my squad. I still can't make sense of the fact that we beat them again

Yeah, Ubernoobers winning that game was a surprise to me as well. Congrats to them!

Don't count out the Eagles yet. He has been doing this since season 1. He rarely logs in, just enough to stay in the game.

The Saturday match against my rival Chronicles is just another in a long line of baffling losses for me against them. Last year, i think i was up by 15 with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter and still lost. This time, i was in the game until the 4th quarter when 2 fumbles and an interception happened quickly and led to an easy win for Chronicles. I had a total of 6 turnovers. I don't know if i will ever figure that team out, they are so good at finishing games. The only wins i have against them the past few seasons are the 3 games that i cheated by using match of the year against them.
