Scoreline flattered my team last night. It was much closer than a 17 point game.

As expected, the Lakers were the better team. Congrats, and good luck to all 4 remaining teams.

It’s Championship Tuesday of Season 51, and it’s a royalty meeting in the Admirals. All 4 remaining managers are listed in the Veteran Managers Top100 (their rank behind the team’s name below), so there’s a lot of experience on the sidelines of both fields tonight. All four teams, too, scored a lot of points in the second half of their Divisional-Round-Games, so it would not be too surprising if we see some highscoring, yet close games

These are the match-ups:

Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin (#29) @ Bracciano Lakers (#52)

The teams in the AC-Championship-Game share a lot of history, playing against each other since S22 when the Lakers joined Admirals I. They played in Week 4 of that season, and Melittlemen won easily then. They played in the same division shortly after that, but it was only in S28 that the Lakers won this match-up for the first time. Overall they played an astounding 33 times in the league against each other, Melittlemen still leading with 18 wins. 3 of the last 10 meetings were in the Postseason, and these were all won by the Lakers. The last one being the Championship Game of S48, which was a loss at home for the then #1-seeded Melittlemen, 20:28.
Will the Little Men from England finally find a way to advance to the ELITE, where they still not have had a shot at? Or will the Lakers return to the ELITE after just one season of absence?

Barossa Bulldogs (#65) @ Devon Dog Soldiers (#26)

The NC-Championship-Game, too, is a match-up of one team trying to return to the ELITE after just one season while the other tries to join this illustrious circle of teams for the first time ever. The latter, being the Barossa Bulldogs, already defeated a 4-time-Superbowl-Champion as well as this seasons #1-seed in impressive manners on their way to the Championship Game tonight. Now awaits the team, managed by the most seasoned veteran of all four remaining participants in the Postseason, which will try to return to the highest league with a win. Both teams met in the Supercup 3 times, the Bulldogs winning 2 of those games. And like they did with the two opponents they had in the Wildcard Round and the Divisional Round, the Bulldogs already played and lost to the Devon Dog Soldiers in the Regular Season. Will they repeat and win the second encounter, advancing to the ELITE for the first time? Or will the Dog Soldiers return to the cream of the crop again?

Good luck to all

I feel like I've stolen your well deserved promotion one more time, my friend.

The match was absolutely on the edge and then the crazy 4th quarter started. Everything happened and the QBs went in foolish mode.
The match could go both way, but my two interceptions versus your single one, changed the history of the gmae.

I cannot explain why in regular season you regularly kick me out of the field, but in the post season you cannot.

I hope to meet you next season in Elite and finally play together on the big stage.

Thank you very much Chrill. You spiced this season up with your enjoyable and detailed analysis, like a seasoned sport anchorman
The Conference championship were two great matches and you prepared them like a pro. I will read them next season, luckily only for the fun of doing so.

With Lions we have a very long history of rivalry and friendship at the same time. He seems doomed by a curse in the playoff. Every season he dominates the regular rankings, but when the playoff time comes, his team seems to melt in an unexplicable way ...
I wish him to solve this witchery soon, because he claims a playoff spot every single season, but he NEVER (and I mean NEVER) reaches the Bowl ... this is statistically impossible !

I'm his worst opponent and his best fan at the same time.
I wish him everytime to join the Elite league, but I'm the responsible of many of his losses in the playoff ... I'm really sad about it.

I followed the first half of both games yesterday, and especially in the AC-Championship-Game I felt that Melittlemen might have been a bit more bold in one moment or two, e. g. in Q2 on 4th&2 with 6 minutes to go (but given the field position I can understand why he didn't go for it)... or going for the fieldgoal instead of punting in the first drive of Q3... although his Kicker did not have the best day either. It is indeed a mystery that he can't get over the hump.

Maybe change the Avatar in the Forum? Or changing the color scheme of the jerseys? That worked for the Bucs AND the Broncos IRL

No need to be sad about it my friend, I felt that this game came a season too early for me. I should have a better defense by the end of next season which hopefully will make a difference.
If there is any team I don't mind losing to it's yours - you have always conducted yourself in a very friendly manner and I've enjoyed the conversations we've had over the years. It's a game when all is said and done and made much more enjoyable by your good self.
On a personal level, I've had a really difficult time since early March with my health - I woke up one day and literally couldn't stand up, walk, use my arms, or talk (many people would be happy with that bit!). I was diagnosed with Guillan Barre syndrome (it's blood awful, don't put it on your bucket list) and it looked like I was going to be in hospital for at least 6 months. Fortunately I responded really well to IVID treatment and was back home in 8 days. But not before I had the consultant check out the draft on Redzone and the training report - the nurses soon got used to checking in for me daily as well. What a good bunch they are. Long term prognosis is very good and I'm back on my feet like before, and have no problem talking (my friends have a problem with that!).
All in all it's gone very well, so a loss in the playoffs (again) is not an issue.
I'm looking forward to next season and another crack at it.
Good luck in the Elite, it's where you belong.

Thanks for that - coincidentally I changed my team colours (mainly so that I could get a Ukraine-like set up). It didn't appear to help change my playoff fortunes , but maybe next time ...
Being a massive Detroit Lions fan, I can't change the avatar!

Good luck in the Elite, it's where you belong.

Thanks for sharing, mate.
That's really unfortunate...
I understand that you are now much better and I will say all my prayers for you and your health.
I hope you can fully recover and be back.
On the positive side, I understand you have a lot of assistants and your coaching staff has grown drastically
If you confirm their contracts, perhaps next season you can claim your well-deserved place in Elite, hopefully with your rival-friends Lakers.

I keep my fingers crossed for you.
Stay strong !!!
