Power Ranking - Elite - Season 51 - Week 17
Last Power Ranking of season 51. - Peoples Republic of Yorkshire finish the season as #1, position they have had since week 10. - Dublin Oilers (#2) and Sydney Sea Eagles (#3) complete the top 3. - Biggest rise: 3 positions for BobBoy Magpies (from #12 to #9) to return to the top 10 where they were most of the season. And Helsinki Gangsters (from #15 to #12). - Biggest drop: 3 positions for Hell Hounds (from #10 to #13). - No MOTY used last week. Only 6 in the whole season. - Best ranked team out of playoffs: Space Kraken (#8). - Worst ranked playoff team: Chelt Nam Bobbers (#17). - Best ranked team to be relegated: Sunrise City Prairie Dogs (#6). - Worst ranked team to be in Elite 52 season: Pizti Beltzak (#23). I get your point. The whole idea of Elite was different at the time I introduced it.
We have seen some teams just dominating there level 1 regional leagues, and it was quite boring. I t was only about 1 or 2 teams per region, but enough to kill the fun. So Elite was founded. Just to get rid of these super teams, and let them play kind of their own level. However, I tried to make sure that there is enough movement possible between Elite and the regions, and this was the reason I settled with hard coded 2 teams that would have to switch leagues. The same thinking is behind the fact we do not have relegation games between Elite losers and regional winners. Basically, Elite is here for the purpose to serve the regions, not the other way around. I really dislike to change that, to be honest. |

Thanks...my defense that was sub-par during the regular season has played well in the playoffs.
