Is draft order a fixed in stone formula? Or is some random factor involved?
If it's set in stone, I think random factor would have the potential as an anti-tank missile. I'd even load it with the cumulative explosive - the randomness would be a bit more pronounced for low numbers. What do you guys think? EDIT: A sligthly less dramatic solution, assuming it's a formula with no randomness - weighted average. Weighted over a few seasons. So if a team like my own keeps having low numbers season in and season out, I'd slowly but steadily climb up the ladder. For example, mix the currently used draft order with a fraction of (MAX - last season's draft order), with "fraction" smaller for N+1 seasons ago than for N seasons ago. Hmm.. Actually randomness wouldn't help. It might even backfire. The first few draft picks are all good, and randomness might even benefit someone who didn't manage to get to the very bottom
Not posting this as a suggestion, mind you. I don't know how the formula works. May be it already _does_ involve some time averaging. |

It's a fixed formular and honestly I think any change would not help to have some sort of lottery in it.
The value of drafties are often bad and the evaluation of those heavily depended on the managers rules. The best values for players you get usually by YA and transfer market and some lucky pick on the draft. |

So the streak is broken. Black Dragons won a close one. And last, the Bruisers won with the highest margin of all games. That led to those games: Burnaby Bruisers vs Black Dragons -> My favorite was still the Dragons, bit at the end did the Bruisers win the game by almost 2 scores. Hemet Hooligans vs Southern Meerkats -> Here I would have picked the Hooligans and they won by 16. That means for the bowl next Tuesday and we also have the two new Elite members for next season. Hemet Hooligans vs Burnaby Bruisers Congratulations and Good Luck! |
