playoff in this match he had one play on all four downs pass from big eye formation. he threw for 500 plus yards with a team that is much weaker without any couches and was 12 and 4 with this tactic.

A couple of seasons ago there was a guy or gal that ran nothing but 4 wide pass plays all 4 downs. They always seem to win during the season but always failed in the playoffs. They'd finish the season with 0 runs. |

No offense meant here, but it looks like he was penalized. He lost the game by a double digit difference. Keep in mind you played 5-2 defense on every one of those downs as well.

yes 5-2 would be the best defense against that formation in my opinion so it was what was used

You would be right all day on a running play.
The real problem here is the lack of quality teams in D1 playoffs. Pete is now allowing managers to move every post season, so hopefully higher quality teams start filling out all of our playoff brackets. There are many good managers that are currently missing the playoffs because their leagues have more quality teams than they have playoff spots. When good managers see that they can have better luck in other leagues, hopefully they move. That alone made Fire much more competitive during the playoffs. We used to have a manager that made the playoffs most seasons running only one formation. He has since gone bot and now, we have gained a few higher quality teams from other leagues. All those teams made the playoffs this season and all made it past the first round. Yes, I am watching! Thankfully, you made good money off this game with the sellout. Good luck in your next game. You are in for a fight. |

I am reading the thread in discussion that broke out at he same time as I wrote this thread. I think Pete might have something in mind with the faces on managers play. Something like morale and team chemistry which would penalize players who play with those type of tactics.
