Here's some Way Too Early Playoff Predictions!!
But first, a word to our rookies (or to those with a speech impediment, Wookies!) We REALLY appreciate you being here. If you have any questions, or want any help, please feel free to ask. I'd love to see the Fire region get stronger and stronger, so anyone here can come for help. Please don't despair when you get trounced a lot your first season or three. We've all been there; we get it. It takes time to build a successful team. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming: I threw together some numbers real fast (super scientific!) to make an initial ranking system based on ELO*, team overall rating, and player salary. And then from that I projected playoff teams. I don't believe it's at all the best ranking system available, but didn't want to do a deep dive into each team, so it is what it is. Later in the season, I'll likely use game results to create a more accurate power ranking. I'm also adding a polling feature! Any manager who wants to chime in can say if their (or any other team) should be higher or lower, and I'll add adjustments Also, not all teams have ratings available yet, so they're listed as NR (not ranked). I think there may be an unrealistic expectation that I will be able to hold down 7 and 13 at the same time though. If I have a choice, I would like to choose 13 please.
