I meant to roll something out before the first game, but I fell ill this last week and I am just now getting up and around again. Sorry for the delay but here is a column I plan to do throughout the season where we take a look at the division leader and upcoming matches. Please, feel free to jump in with your own opinions! And remember, none of what I say means a hill of beans! On with my not so hot takes on Fire League!
AC East Braska Bangers lost to the Frontiersmen, making them the only team in the division sitting at 0-1. They will be looking to even things up a bit in their matchup with the Towncars today. The rest of the division, led by Ions, are sitting pretty at 1-0. My hot take: The Bangers recover from an early season deficit to win the division. AC North The exact opposite here. Only Champ Chompers have a win after defeating the Aberthaw Dolphins to start the season. This week the Dolphins take on the Guns and the Chompers are on the road with a game in Dallas. My hot take: This divisional race will come down to Chompers and Dolphins. It's a tough pick for me, but I am going with Chompers this season. I feel like they turned a corner last season and have what it takes to bring home the division. AC South Despite being the only team in the division at 0-1, the Steelers have a shot at taking the division trophy this season. The Towncars appear to be in rebuild mode and despite blistering the Steelers in their first matchup, I look for the Steelers to widen the gap as the season continues. My hot take: While I think the STEELERS have a legitimate shot this season and should not be counted out, Towncars is an Elite manager. This one is close to call but I have to go with the depleted Towncars to take the division this season. Again, it's so close, even Olband has these teams sitting next to one another in the PR. AC West Panthers. Panthers. Panthers. That's all I see when I look at this division. The Panthers are 35th in the world. This is probably going to be a short pit stop for their team before they hit Elite for the first time since season 45. My hot take: Have I mentioned the Panthers yet? They are pretty good. NC East The Frontiersmen and Express battle it out in the East. The Frontiersmen made a statement win in beating the Bangers last round, while the Express dropped a game to the Guns. All three of the aforementioned teams are making significant strides in improving their rosters. We will get to the Guns in a second, but these early matchups will have playoff implications at the end of the season. My hot take: This is another that really appears to be too close to call. It wouldn't be a hot take if I didn't pick someone though. I have to go with the Frontiersmen here. NC North This has been the stomping grounds for the Pitcairn Bounty Mutineers since Season 44. If you step into this division, the Mutineers tend to stomp on you. Could this be the season that the Acorns take a step and challenge the Mutineers for that title? My hot take: I am going with the old steady pick here. The Mutineers sail away with this one. NC South In a battle between two ex-Elite teams from last season, the Mustangs came back and nicked the Norsemen in the 4th quarter to take the win. Let's not forget that the Gladiatori play in this division as well. This division is loaded. My hot take: The Mustangs ride free in this division and take home the division trophy. NC South This is a another tough division for me. The Stormtroopers always seem to come out on top here. This season however, the Gangsta Guns are likely to give them a run for their money. The Guns roster has improved and the Guns manager is making strides. The Guns defeated the Express to open the season while the Stormtroopers remain untested. My hot take: I expect the Guns to pull this one out. Say hello to my little friend! I threw this together this morning, but I promise it will get more entertaining as I get back on my feet here in Niceville. We have a little storm that appears to be headed this way, but right now I am out of the cone, so hoping there won't be any further delays folks. Please, feel free to let me know if you think I got something wrong here. Let's go bang some heads!

I can't wait for my team to plummet in the rankings =P, anytime any kind of expectation is put on me/my teams they always blow up hahaha. I do hope to put up a good season like last one though, hopefully go a little further in the playoffs at the very least.
