Damn, winning the Superbowl is a nice experience, but picking that late is a pain
Since two players of interest were picked by the bots: Do you have any experience if and when those players hit the transfer market? In the Manual it's written that those players immediately get fired and there's a good chance that they enter the transfer market... but I can't remember that happening in past seasons. Or it happened with players that I did not search for, maybe... |

My first pick is older than ideal for a draft pick but for a new team like mine he's instantly my best player by a mile and with superb intangibles I'm extremely happy with my selection.

This is the first draft where I'm not even close to drafting who I wanted. It's either a really thin draft or just everyone doing a really thorough research this time.

We got a WR that needs A LOT of coaching to be a real threat, of course only if he does not cap below 40 on speed which is still possible

Well, that embarrassment of a draft for us is behind, it's time to concentrate on the season.
The Good: - Finally switched to HR Department which stabilized salaries and enabled us to train some key players further. - Got rid of some aging players and saved even more on salaries. - Youth academy produced a few quality players, one of them will play with starters right away, while 2 others will be quality backups while still developing. - Our OL stayed intact and got even stronger with training. - Our DL got stronger too with some of the former draft picks with excellent physical abilities training more skills. The Bad: - Our starting QB will retire at the end of the season, so it's time for the next guy in line. He didn't show too well in friendlies plus we don't have a coach at that position, so this could become our weakest point. - While we have good LB's, this position is very thin and we couldn't get anything from the draft. So if there are injuries there, it'll be trouble. The Ugly: - Useless draft Season Expectations: We had first round bye 2 seasons in a row, but with uncertainty at QB I expect us to fight for the division win, but it will be more difficult this year. Minimum and realistic goal is to reach the playoffs. We dream promotion to the Elite, but that just moght be wishful thinking this season. |

Him turning out to have 50 str is quite helpful, even if his speed was red capped. Gambled on the 50 INT + speedster in the 2nd round, but he was red capped on spd. Hopefully he ends up with 50 str.
