I'll try, but somehow the kids have rejected single malt whiskey to this point...

And a dash of soda water ...

Sounds good to me. Something from the Islay, maybe. Like it.

Very lucky person. You are just up the road from my favourite place in Italy, home of I Canarini (Modena), who share the same nickname as my local non-league team (Hitchin Town FC, founded way back in 1865).

I'm going to keep a track of all of the single malts I've tried over the years (which is quite a few), and I've got a lovely whisky advent calendar from my lovely daughter and son-in-law which starts on Friday and finishes on Christmas day. A whisky a day with hopefully some new ones in there!

ususlly in a little "bowl" to contain the beef broth.
Some variations involve cooking them in broth, draining them and finishing cooking with cream.
Daredevils might suggest you season them with ragù (Bolognese)... but they would be exiled from Emilia!

That's what led me to ask, although it would not be totally crazy to think that your weather could be the direct opposite than ours... it's usually the other way around, though, with you having deep snow and us having dry cold weather with sunshine
