10-6 should seal our wild card and our best hope will be in the final game of the season. The bookies are quoting Davy Crockett's lot at +13.5 pts ;o)

Some exciting games, some upsets, and and one that almost was... Ions was up 21-7 before Copenhagen came roaring back to knock Ions out of playoff contention. As mentioned, Chatt-Tenn was a great game, with Chat pulling off the upset and keeping their playoff hopes alive, even as neroverde also took care of business. And... much thrills in Idaho for keeping perfect. Panthers started strong, taking a 10-0 lead, but then my boys went to work!

One week left! And the last wildcard spot is still (kinda) contested in each conference.
In the AC, it's the Wookies or the Reapers. The Wookies can keep it if they can figure out beating the Chompers. The Chompers are listed as 22-point favorites. Otherwise that last PO spot will likely go to the Reapers, whose last game is against Schonspieler, whom they're favored to beat by 72 points. In the NC, Chattanooga currently holds the tie-breaker over neroverde, but more importantly has the easier game. They're favored to win by 35 over the Fishermen, whereas Neroverde are 5-point underdogs to the Chargers. So it seems like we can pencil in the Reapers and the Express as the likely lucky last teams in, but who knows? Maybe someone will pull off a big upset! In other news, I count 13 Fire members in the Supercup Playoffs, not including those in Elite. Good luck to all of us! |
