I used to be big on the predictions and summary write ups. Actually I am on them when it is summer being I am a teacher. Although by then I am hoping to have made it to elite at least once.
I am currently trying to reach elite at least once from each region. I made it from Dragons and now trying from here. Next will be Fire. |

I am bad on predictions. If I had to make the pick for the winners, I'd go with the Dragons. I hope Dragons won't treat that as a bad luck charm .

Two teams I do wonder about against each other. The Crabs are quite new in the league, won their division twice until Sfniners08 switched to Monarchs-Region and spoiled the fun since last season. Progress on the team development is at least on the team overview page quite low this season and the manager did not log in since almost 2 weeks. That gives the team roughly 10 days before falling BOT. If no standard settings are stored (ut likely there are) the game will be over before the start. The Panthers on the other hand did change something in their management strategy, which did put that former powerhouse into the 2nd tier of competitors since almost 20! seasons. This season, both teams had a match and the Panthers won. Given the current status of the Crabs, it would be a big booboo to not pick the Panthers here. Hemet Hooligans @ Fighting Frankonian
The Hooligans did not win the division, despite coming back from Elite with a quite impressive roster. But some surprising losses in the 1st half of the season did leave them behind the Panthers and they now have to face the division winner Frankonians. But lucky for the Hooligans, the Frankonians are quite new and their development is slow, won the division based on an easy division and an easy schedule and the team is on paper no match against the Hooligans. Hooligans should have no problems in this one. Hopping Rabbits @ Blue Devils
The Rabbits did only make the playoffs, since the other teams in the conference are either even newer or BOT. That's not their fault, it's just a fact that the teams development is far from that of their opponent and they can only take the money and invest it into the future. The Devils should be way better and should win this in a landslide. Orono Ancient Snappers @ Doves
The management plan of the Snappers seems to be a slow build approach, since the level the team is playing on could be better after so many seasons. But since everyone can build their team as they like, they have to face a quite equally matched Doves team, which is a season younger and went all in on their roster, while this does not reflect in their overall strength. The Doves won games this season and last season against the Snappers and I think the chances to upset the Doves in this game are quite slim. Good luck to everyone! OK, that was the easy part of picking the winners. In the Divisional Playoffs the matchups will be much more open. We have next Saturday: Blue Devils @ Trnava Saints The Blue Devils did meet the Saints already this season and got handed a 31 points difference loss. Their only strength is, they have a good passing games, which might give them a scoring chance more often than in that last game. But overall the team strength is better for the Saints, who have only one weakness, their coaching setup. I don't know, why, but they have no ACs, none. That means all units will play on base coaching level and that means, the units will play not at full strength. So ... the Devils will have a chance here, even I think it will be slim. I pick the Elite-return-team at home, but I would not be surprised on an upset. Doves @ Black Dragons This is quite clear, at least for me. The Doves are a few seasons behind the level of strength the Dragons do field. The Dragons did lose a bit the unbeatable-touch they had way in the past, stull it does field an impressive roster. Last season the Dragons did win by 35 points, I think this year it will be quite similar. Hemet Hooligans @ Caplit e salama The Hooligans have an inpressive strong team, and Capit e salama has not peaked their development yet. Their division crown was due lack of competition, so the Hooligans, will test them for real here. I pick Hemet here in a quite close one. Paxtang Black Panthers @ Sfniner08 The most interesting game of the gameday. Panthers seem to get their roster back on track, even they are not where they were seasons ago, and will face the Sfnines who dream of Elite promotion. They won against the Panthers during the season with a good margin, so this can happen again. Overall I think the Sfniners have the better chance, at home, with a slightly better roster, but this is as open as it can be. Good luck to all! |
