Well timnd that was a very curious game...wasn't expecting that at all! I am at a loss at how your 5-2was so much better against the pass than your 3-4-4. I am not sure what happened here, but respect to your redzone D!
Best of luck to you!🍻🍻

Reapers had my chest pounding the whole game until late in the 4th when Outlaw decided to go ahead and start playing the game like the QB he is. Didn't help that I forgot to change the playbook, but they pulled it off in a game that was much closer than it should have been. Props to my opponent, I think part of it may have been his playbook.

Great game dxh2222! They don't get much closer than that. I think my line play saved my tail again. For the record, I do not think I have ever seen two QB's get the EXACT same QBR for a game before.

Good luck the rest of the tourney!

Here's another blast from my soapbox. A few more hints in developing your playbooks. Yes, playbooks was plural on purpose. Have more than one.
-Be vary sparing in your use of Medium and Deep passes, or don't use them at all. They increase the chance of interceptions. Besides, the QB will try to go for a first down when passing most of the time, so a regular pass from 3rd and 22 is just as likely to get a first down without the extra risk of an interception. And the best way to get a good long pass is by 'tricking the engine' as previously discussed.
-The player positions for each play are generated according to a certain order. Generally speaking, players are first placed from your depth chart on the left side of the ball (from the offense's point of view) then the right. The defense is the mirror of that, so the best OT faces off against the best DE, and the best WR against the best CB. (By best, I mean the first player listed on the depth chart.) If you're clever you can use this to create the best possible matchups for your offensive players.
-If you have the time to spend, research what defensive formations your opponent tends to us against which offensive formations. If they always play a 335 against the Singleback, it might be a good time to lean on the run there, or if they always play a 533 against the Big I, it might be wise to mostly pass out of that formation.
-I've previously mentioned this, but do (time-permitting) research your opps' offensive tendencies and plan your defense accordingly.
-When in doubt, blitz.
-Don't use the 317. Just don't. And generally avoid the 434; it's flawed against the pass. Only use the 5-2 if you know what you're doing with it; it leaves your flanks exposed.
-If you have depth at DL, use them. DL is probably the most important position on defense, though LBs tend to be more disruptive. (Mustangs was the Fire champ last season, and he uses a lot of 533, even in pass plays, because it puts lots of pressure on the QB. I wouldn't suggest this to everyone; your defense has to have a solid back end to get away with this, but it goes to show what extra linemen can do. Many vets of the game use a lot of 443 on pass plays.)

Oh, and one more thing: Don't be predictable!!

Holy cow! Look at the standings in Group 1. I don't think I have ever seen that. Check out that razor thin PD. A 31 point swing is it all that stands between four teams and the playoff tourney. Crazy stuff!

Thanks huskertarr. I don't know what to say about this powermode other than I wish we could use it in league play.
