I genuinely feel for the Grail Knights. My team tried really hard to lose but just squeaked a totally undeserved win. The Knights are a better team than there record would indicate. Per my stats, they've played the 4th hardest schedule so far this season, and a lot of close losses, which is why their PD is better than mine despite 2 less wins. |

Thought I'd recap on my spread picks:
- Sydney Sea Eagles @ TigerCats -8 Two perennial powerhouses each sitting at 5-3. The Cats may be at home, but the spread feels too high to me. ** Wow, the Eagles showed up with a vengeance! What favorites? - Stone Mountain Hawks 2 @ Social Distance Runners even Divisional rivals each at 6-2 in what is arguably the toughest division in Elite, a real coin-flip game ** The Runners ran all over the Hawks: 249 rush yards!! - Space Kraken @ Black Dragons 1 These in-division rivals may not fear relegation, but this game also has playoff implications, and again, a real close matchup. ** A 'real close matchup' huh? Yeah, nailed that one. - Brookfield Ukies @ HAMBURG SEA LIONS -3 Maybe not the strongest teams in Elite, but both teams just got big upset wins and are playing for survival in Elite. ** Tied up going into the 4th, and then all Sea Lions, which just keeps the division real muddy. - mystics @ KMN Mandalorians even The other matchup from the Division of Death; don't sleep on the mystics just because they're 'last' in the division. ** Looks like the mystics are the ones who were sleeping. Not that the Mandalorians are ever an easy draw. - San Diego Blitz @ Dumbarajko Elephants 6 Ignoring the off-field drama, this is a divisional game with relegation implications as Dumbo tries to hold off a very strong Yoda, but can he blitz the Blitz? ** And yet one more game that was slated to be 'close' but wasn't. In games that were actually close: - The Knights tied their game with under 2 mintues to play to force overtime, avoided defeat with the chinnies missing a field goal, drove down to get to field goal distance themselves, only to be sacked twice to push them out of range and the next time the little men didn't miss the kick. - Non Ducor almost pulled off a win by putting up 14 in the 4th, but only left 2 minutes on the clock after their last score, so never got the chance to compete the comback. - Missouri felt the Misery today, after leading the Stangs into the 4th quarter, got pinned on the 1 and gave up a safety and a short field after a decent punt return to see their upset chances on the road evaporate. |

And while I'm busy posting, (read work is really dull right now,) here's the spreads for Saturday's intriguing games:
A big week for the AC West, as 3 teams are tied for the lead there: - Missouri Misery @ BobBoy Magpies - Magpies by 8 Should I mention that Maggies have never lost this matchup? - TigerCats @ Bracciano Lakers - Lakers by 1 Cats have dropped two since squeaking past the Misery. Can they get back on track here? - Black Dragons @ Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin - Chins by 1 Both teams are 5-4, the Dragons will be snarling after what the Kraken did to them, but they're not in the same kind of divisional race. And speaking of teams in tough divisional races: - Dumbarajko Elephants @ Chelt Nam Bobbers - Bobbers by 7 Weird that the team with the lower record gets that many points. And it's a rebound game for Dumbo... maybe? - KMN Mandalorians @ Stone Mountain Hawks 2 - Mandos by 6 Do I even need to say any more about the race in this division? - People Republic of Yorkshire @ Mustangs - the Puddings by 8 Not as much urgency for these two at the top of their divisions, but since they're each 7-2, thought it was a game worth mention. |

Just to defend my guys, once again MOTY was here 😉 Two seasons in a row Steve doesn't want to take a chance against Elephants and takes first MOTY of the season. I don't have that luxury since there are much important games for my team. 1:1 score against him is one victory more than I expected 👌 |

That's what makes it sooo delicious - - you probably weren't going to MOTY because you might need it at the end of the season against Pete to stay up. But I don't understand why you object so much. You're the biggest threat to me in the division, you've got a bigger overall salary (~30% higher than me) and you crushed me at home in the first meeting. Watcha think I should do? In case you haven't noticed, the Blitz are in the business of winning games and trophies... Steve SD Blitz |

Steve SD Blitz I knew that MOTY was coming, I would do the same if I was you Chance to get 3 victories advantage, playing BOT on Thursday, not so heavy opponent on Saturday, knowing that opponent can't play MOTY due to maybe decisive week 17 match up... I don't know about other guys, but I would take that chance I am just talking about my "luck" for second season in a row being a first one to play against MOTY opponent and that opponent is one of the best in the league. And trying to defend my players for losing by 40 points Glad that you see me as biggest threat in division I don't see myself as that. |

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS have a meeting at the Air Force Falcons today, a team that they met with twice over the course of the last 4 season.
The first encounter was in S53 and the first lesson of what it means to play in the Elite. It was week 6 after a miraculous 4–1 start to our Elite tenure, and a stout defense stopped us time and time again to only kick FGs while we had no clue to stop their passing offense, thus losing 24:30. The second encounter was in S54 and again in week 6. This time we had a record of 2–3 going in and came out victorious, as in this game our passing defense really stepped up and prevented the Falcons from scoring entirely in the fourth quarter. So we're 1–1 against them and meet them for the first time on their turf today. But a win would be really important, as all three other teams from the NC West have tough match-ups with the NC South on their schedule... so with a little luck the SEA LIONS can make it to the top of the division. Who'd have thought that a few weeks ago? Good luck to everyone |
