Welcome to the thread for the new season.
First of all, I'd like to welcome the new teams that have joined us so far, it's great to see you here  :
Chattanooga Express Schoburg Franklins Rio Thunder Badalona Cheetahs Morior Invictus Unfortunately, we also lost a strong team in Dark Matter. 
I'm also pleased that NC has become a bit fuller, it was a bit embarrassing that a BOT team made the playoffs last season. The change of teams will also make promotion much more difficult and it will be extremely difficult for my team to reach the playoffs this season. Nevertheless, I wish everyone good luck with the draft and a good start to the new season. I'm really looking forward to it.   |

I am trying my 3rd promotion to Elite from different regions (I have done it in Dragons and Galaxy). I see it will be really difficult this season but I am sure I will enjoy playing in Thunder.

The first matchday has been played, let's take a look at some of the games:
Canton Bulldogs, East New Britain Juniors, Novosibirsk Eagles, Lleida Monos and Chattanooga Express played against BOT teams, I won't go into details as all players brought home clear victories. Here are the games with 2 player teams each: Alberta Idiots vs. The Blue and White A really exciting game, which was only decided in overtime. Both teams scored only 1 touchdown in regulation time, but were successful with 5 field goals each. The Blue and White should have won the game, but they missed 2 field goals during regulation time (43yards and 31yards), and in overtime they were able to stop the Alberta Idiots' 1 offense but couldn't hit the 56 yard field goal in return. And after that Alberta Idiots were unstoppable and were able to score the winning touchdown. Morior Invictus vs. Cirano Morior Invictus dominated this game and the relatively new team Cirano had to learn the hard way. Cirano didn't have much to play for and Morior Invictus is certainly a team that will fight for promotion. Olivet Comets vs. Air Force Falcons Here the Air Force Falcons were able to dominate the game and the victory was already quite clear at halftime, but the Falcons did not stop there and were able to dominate the 3rd quarter even more clearly, but Olivet Coments came into the game better and better in the 4th quarter and there they were able to get on the board with a touchdown and a field goal. Pope's Crusaders vs. Memphis Militia At the beginning it looked like a clear victory for Memphis Militia, as they scored 3 touchdowns in the 1st quarter. After that, the match was pretty even, but the lead was never to be taken, both offenses scored well. What became the highest scoring game of the day (excluding BOT team games as opponents) Rio Thunder vs. Big Brocks Jock A really great game, which in the end was won by Rio Thunder, by only 1 point margin. Both teams would have deserved to win, but only one can win. I would say it was a bit of a lucky win. In any case, you should keep an eye on both teams, because you can assume that both teams will end up in the playoffs. Schoburg Franklins vs. Cà Mau con hổ A clear victory for Schoburg Franklins. The entire Cà Mau con hổ team had nothing to counter the opponent. In the end, the Vietnamese were happy that they were able to score a field goal at the end. Schoburg Franklins are one to keep an eye on as they could have a good run into the playoffs at the end of the season. Wleń Witches vs. Badalona Cheetahs A good win for Badalona Cheetahs who were the more consistent team. Wleń Witches was particularly unfocused in defense, which also led to a 79 yard touchdown and a 52 yard touchdown for the Cheetahs. Xu Da vs. Bottombumpers A clear win for Xu Da, the team was particularly convincing in the second half. It wasn't a bad match for Bottombumpers, and above all they were able to win the second quarter, but overall there wasn't enough. But considering that my TC decreased at the rollover due to a coach retirement I think it was a big win. Let's see when my team start to play at its max... |

Truth being told, I never had that down as a game I might win, RNG was kind to me and kept the game close, despite that Rio still got over the line for the W.
Still it's encouragement that as I enter the third season the team is heading in the right way, the target is to mKe the playoffs this year, this team is going to be together by and large for at least 6 or 7 seasons, got some nice yoot coming through the academy, establishing a production line and being able to play a game of evolution rather than the revolution of the first two seasons. Nice to play strong human sides rather than bot to find tune the playbooks and learn rather than pounding on bots. Good game Leo,, good luck for the season all and UP THE JOCKS!! |
