For the wildcards, as we recently lost by a good amount against them, probably the St Pauli Packers are the favourites. But, if we throw no interceptions, it will be a close game.

NC Wilcard Update:
Hamburg Baltic Dogs +3.5 at the North Sea Jarls. My research points to a Jarls win here. Jarls at home. Jarls with 4 straight wins, Dogs with 4 straight losses. Jarls are higher ranked in all offensive and defensive categories. Jarls is fun to say. Lots of late money is coming in on the Jarls and I don't think you should go against it. Give the 3.5 and take the Jarls at home. Vancouver Corsairs at the St. Pauli Packers. Even This reporter is not ashamed to say that I like both of these owners/squads and I wish both of them could go on. But, enough emotion, lets make a pick. The Packers are playoff ready having won their beast of a division. They hosted the Corsairs last season and took that meeting 38-41. This is looking like another high scoring game. But the good news for the Packers ends there. This time the Corsairs are going to come out on top. The Corsairs put up a staggering 8542 yards of passing this season. The Packers have only a 25th ranked pass D. The other side of the ball is troubling as well with the Packers throwing a 2nd worst 31 picks. Meanwhile, the boys from Vancouver have snatched a league leading 38 interceptions. The only reason the line is even on this one is home field advantage. Take the visiting Vancouver Corsairs. |

I began to name the games against some opponents. This one is the Pirate Rivalry.
![]() The beer is cold. Tailgating has just started. The interception festival could start. ![]() Source: https://www.ksc.de/fileadmin/_processed_/7/5/csm_oh_43785_17bd62e6ca.jpg |

Nice one.
Actually, St Pauli is one of the soccer teams I like. I "follow" (much more laxly than other fans, of course) a few soccer teams, and they all have something different: St Pauli, Forest Green Rovers, Bilbao... |

Today's game was a nailbiter!!
I swear if their QB1 played the whole match we would have definitely lost! I get frustrated that my pass defense is one of my strongest areas but we still give away play after play; granted we get it done many times, just very ugly! Now looking at next season, my TE coach is up for retirement; I'm not sure if I'm gonna go for a RB coach since that's my strongest area of the game, sacrificing training for my TE group which is huge compared to my RB room. Any suggestions? |

NC Wildcard Update
Hamburg Baltic Dogs @ North Sea Jarls Jarls take the win 37-30. Highlight of the game was the heroic 3rd quarter defensive stop by the Jarls. 2nd and goal from the 2 yard line, the Dogs were held to a FG. The Jarls then marched right down the field and showed the Dogs how to punch it in for the 7 points. Close game but the Jarls cover the 3.5. WIN Vancouver Corsairs @ St. Pauli Packers I love RZA! Apart from the RZA classic dueling 4 field goals from 62 and 65 yards to end the half; This game was super entertaining to watch and a much closer game than the 40-31 final score. As predicted the Corsairs QB Cary Wolf threw an incredible 93 times completing 63 for 614 yards and 5 tds. The Packers had answers of their own throwing 4 passes for 73,75,81 and 82 yards. But a late 4Q interception doomed the Packers. Corsairs move on. WIN |

NC Playoff News Flash:
Moments after a being lauded as game MVP in a wildcard win, North Sea Jarls have transfer listed QB1 Sione Dau. Fresh off a 4 TD game, Dau was stunned to here from reporters that he had been transfer listed. "WTF!" said Dau as he stormed off the podium. There has been no comment by the team as to why they seem to be dismantling the team in the middle of their playoff run. Stay tuned for more on this developing situation.
