Anchorage Welcomes the Hamburg Baltic Dogs, 9f (-12c) at game time with a slight wind making it feel -6f (-21c). Fans will be wearing every type of fur, feathers & seal skin boot (except no Wookie
![]() In honor of the Hamburg Baltic Dogs all hamburgers will be 1/2 price (available in beef, caribou, reindeer & moose) and all hotdogs (honorarily called Baltic Dogs) will be 2 for 1. ![]() Sticks & frisbees will be passed out at the gate & chants of "here boy ! fetch the stick " along with "who's a good dog" "he's a good boy !" will be heard after every Int, fumble, failed 4th downs or punt by the Hamburg team. ![]() Although the Dogs have a low 59.7 Overall rating they are 10 & 2 in their league. So we don't think these Dogs are going to roll over & play dead. As we all know there's a special relationship between man as his dog, especially true for a trapper & his dogs. transportation, company, warmth & if you get caught in a blizzard checking ones trap line they can serve as dinner. ![]() We know a good dog wants to help out so we'll be counting on these dogs from the Baltic via Hamburg Germany to know who's it's Master. ![]() Good Luck to all the teams ![]() ![]() Source: https://static01.nyt.com/images/2016/02/14/fashion/14TRAPPER4/14TRAPPER4-master768.jpg Last edited on 2024-12-01 05:56:29 by 4 Kings |

It has been quiet the last few days since the first games of this new Friendly Cup were played. The organization committee has been on alert as the fearless human that has found the playing site for the playoffs, even though he/she has not reported back in a while, seems to have penetrated deep into areas that were subject of greatest security. Some even suspect that the Fur Trappers' participation could be a distraction to cause greater damage from within the ark. But investigation is still going on, and in the meantime these are the match-ups of Game Day 2:
HAMBURG SEA LIONS @ Manta Rays The SEA LIONS are the next in line to visit the Manta Rays down under. Both teams lost their first game of the tournament, so it’s crucial already to win this one. With both being well equipped to play the game in aqueous environments it’ll be interesting to see who can push the ball better through the deep. Sydney Sea Eagles @ Willoughby Wookies Both the Sea Eagles and the Wookies won their first game, now the reigning champ has to fly to Canada to take the next step to defend the title. They have played their league game yesterday just below the border in the US, though, so if the Wookies hoped that the Sea Eagles come in tired they might be in for a surprise. BobBoy Magpies @ Leverkusen Leopards Experience meets experience in this game between two winners from Game Day 1. The mischievous Magpies played with their opponents, even made them think for a second that they might win, only to take it away in the last two minutes. The Leopards are well advised to take the lead quickly and not succumb under the pressure of these sneaky birds. Tigers @ Dumbarajko Elephants The Tigers had trouble coming close to the goalline in the first game, and they will have to come up with some special plans on their way to Serbia, where the Elephants await them. The latter stomped the Cheetahs in their first outing, never letting them even get into scoring range. Maybe the size of the Tigers will give them more fits, but given the form that the Elephants are showing it’ll really need a masterful plan to get past them. Hamburg Baltic Dogs @ Alaskan Fur Trappers Next in line to stop the Fur Trappers are the Baltic Dogs, who come in with big intentions as they shown a great performance in their home town against a division opponent. The Fur Trappers, though, took the pelts from a pack of Wolves yesterday and seem willing to do everything to get deeper into this Cup. We’re truly praying for those Dogs ![]() Air Force Falcons @ Badalona Cheetahs The Air Force Falcons set out for their next strike on the mainland, this time targeting Catalonia. The Cheetahs may be able to fend off the quick attack of the Falcons, but their defeat by the Elephants seems to have seriously damaged their mojo. Hopefully they can channel their speed again, or they will fall prey to the Falcons as well. Quokkas on steroids @ Deimon Devil Bats Still not much is known about those mysterious Quokkas, but their strategies in distracting the opponent and eek out wins are quite unique. They travel for the first time in this Cup, this time to the Devil Bats of Japan. Will they be equally as inventive there as they are at home? Or are the Bats able to ignore the distractions and use their advantage for some intricate aerial attack? Sunrise City Prairie Dogs @ Morgantown Mad Dogs The Prairie Dogs were surprised by the Quokkas and already have to win this game against the Mad Dogs to be able to make a re-match against the Sea Eagles happen. They have shown some resilience, but so have the Mad Dogs. And the latter already have some experience in playing Friendly Cups this season… so they may be at an advantage today. Good luck to everyone ![]() |

In other news:
The mysterious one, who is trying to supply more insight into the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup, surprised us with more material to look at. He or she has obviously been able to get inside the facilities. There doesn't seem to be much time to stay at one place long enough to even take a good photo, as again both pics are more or less blurred. But we cannot appreciate enough that there is someone out there that’s trying to go where no human has gone so far. This first picture shows some kind of locker: ![]() Source: https://tillfelix.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/filename_00039_-kopie-1.png Actually, we’re quite surprised to see many structures that resemble those of buildings made by humans. Could it be that there is some universal understanding about building a football stadium? ![]() In this second picture the unknown without fear got an almost clear shot of what seams to be some kind of escape exits? Or toilets? ![]() Source: https://tillfelix.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/filename_00072_-kopie-1.png He/she obviously got in trouble with security immediately after taking this photo ![]() But the fact that we received the pictures lets us hope this fearless individual is safe and sound... or at least alive. We would be very happy to receive more from there. Tomorrow will be decided who’ll move on to the playoffs and play in this astonishing building. Maybe, if the person manages to avoid containment until then we will get some material of live action from the games. But safety first. You are very brave, mysterious person, whatever the reasons are why you do this. Be safe. |

Time just flies in these group stages, does it not? Maybe it’s just the fact that these deciding games fall right into the time of the season where stakes are high and there’s a general sense of urgency all around the leagues. Be it as it may, there are some decisive games to happen today, and these are the match-ups of Game Day 3 in the Animal Kingdom II Friendly Cup:
BobBoy Magpies @ Manta Rays Not much of importance happening in this game, sadly. The Magpies are already qualified for the playoff round starting next weekend. And it’s, too, secured that we will see the Manta Rays for the last time playing in this iteration of the tournament. Maybe they can catch some lazy Magpies by surprise, but they would have to keep the egg in their own ranks. Once the highflying attack of those birds gets going the Rays will be left without much of a chance. Hamburg Baltic Dogs @ Willooughby Wookies The Baltic Dogs visit the Wookies from Canada, also being out of contention for the next round of the Cup. It’ll be interesting to see if they let the Wookies play, well knowing, that a win by the home team would most likely secure that those Fur Trappers would not have a chance to move on to the playoffs, and with that will be denied their chance to get to the location of the great Ark Stadium. Hamburg SEA LIONS @ Leverkusen Leopards The SEA LIONS and the Leopards both are 1–1, so a victory secures a game in the playoff round. Both teams scored exactly the same amount of points against the Rays and lost to the Magpies… although the SEA LIONS looked slightly more comfortable against those pesky birds. The Leopards are at home and may have a slight advantage… which should make for a great game. Air Force Falcons @ Dumbarajko Elephants Both teams sit atop Group 2 with 2 wins each, so this one will only decide the ranking going into the next round. In terms of dominance the Elephants definitely have the upside, as they successfully prevented the opponent from scoring in both games. But they still haven’t had a fierce opponent like the Air Force Falcons with their intricate attack through the air. This game is more than worthy labeled Match of the Day by the RZA network. Sydney Sea Eagles @ Alaskan Fur Trappers The defending champ of the Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup comes into this game unbeaten. And they have the chance to make sure the tournament is rid of these humans. You may even call it their duty, which is why they were put into this group with the Fur Trappers in the first place. Tigers @ Badalona Cheetahs Some big cat melee in this one, sadly without any implications for the playoff round. Both teams will not return next week, as they are winless. Which on the other paw means that one of them will exit the tournament with a dub. Maybe against fellow felines the Cheetahs can find they speed again. Else they may be quite outmatched again. Sunrise City Prairie Dogs @ Deimon Devil Bats The Prairie Dogs need to win this game to secure an appearance in the playoff round. But they should be able to do this when they exploit the slightly weak defense of the Devil Bats. The offense of the flying rodents is able do score round about 20 points each game, but they have let the opponent score 30 in both games that were already played. Which means that this will be their last game of this tournament. Maybe they can upset the Runner Up from the last Animal Kingdom Friendly Cup, but they need to avoid letting the Prairie Dogs scurry through their defense to make that happen. Quokkas on steroids @ Morgantown Mad Dogs The Mad Dogs need to win this one. If they do they’ll tie the Quokkas at 2–1 in the group, and given a very moderate PD of 16 points to make up they might even jump them. For the Quokkas that could, even after two convincing outings of this cute Shaka, mean that they will not be part of the teams that play in the playoffs next week. Such a result could lead to, if the Prairie Dogs win their game in Japan, that the Creators Quokkas end up third in their group. So it should be in their best interest to win this one, too. This third group truly is exciting ![]() Good luck to everyone today ![]() |

It's going to be very warm in Anchorage for this game 30f (-1c) with a wind chill around 25f. Way to warm for Alaskans too be decked out in fur. Sunrise is exactly at game time (10 am) so the stadium lights will be on.
These white bellied Sea Eagles are one tough bird with a 87.1 overall. Generally any sea bird is way to fishy tasting (like seal) for any fine dinning but their eggs are a different story. The Trappers will have to lean on Power Mode & our Superb Managers tactical compared to the Eagles just Ok Tactical talents to have any chance of capturing these Eagles. They do like to fly with about a 3 to 1 pass/run play calling. ![]() When we let the Baltic Dogs off the leash in the 3rd quarter of last weeks game it Killed our PD and with it any real chance of moving on. ![]() Whole Herring will be passed out at the gate so were sure the entire stadium will smell like a sea bird tastes & maybe some herring on the field will distract the sea birds. Best of luck to all the teams, it's been fun. ![]() ![]() Source: https://cdn8.dissolve.com/p/D1267_49_151/D1267_49_151_0004_600.jpg |
