With the exception of one game it's another East-West-Melee in the NC on Game Day 11 today, and maybe we get an answer to the question posted earler in this thread of which division is indeed the strongest in the conference

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS visit the Stone Mountain Hawks 2. This match-up happened only once in this fine league before, when the Hawks came to Hamburg and lost by 1 point in a game that saw 42 points scored in the second half. Both teams are 5–4, the difference being that this record has the SEA LIONS leading the West and the Hawks being 3rd in the East. The latter are 1–1 against the West, maybe we can break the tie in favor of our division and stay on course for another season in the league.

The Chelt Nam Bobbers have to go to the Social Distance Runners, and as mentioned by the manager of the latter the Bobbers seem to have the number of the Runners. The team from the West has won every league match-up since S41, but struggles mightily this season. They are only two games behind in the division, so there's still plenty of room to make another season in the Elite happen. But they need to start winning some games. Maybe this one against the Runners comes at the right time to get something going.

The third match-up between the West and the East is between the Pizti Beltzak and the Glasgow Tigers, the latter being the road team. Another game that hasn't happened overly often, with the last one being a win for the Tigers in S52. The Beasts come off their bye-week and seem to be prepared, having a week with only wins so far. Both teams have an equal record at 4–5, for the Tigers it's their first match-up of the season with a team from the West. A win would be precious for the Beasts, as they would even their record and be in great position for the coming games.

The only inter-conference game is played by the Brookfield Ukies, who are the second team from the West to face the Willoughby Wookies from the AC North. The latter had their first loss in the last game against the SEA LIONS and meet the Ukies for the first time. In terms of strenght the team from the NC seems to overmatch the opponent by long strides, but that has been the case many times this season with the Wookies. If the Ukies can crack the defensive code of the Wookies they will improve to 6–4 and probably take the lead in the West again, and depending on the outcome of the Bobbers-game this could be a big one to stay Elite for a second season in a row.

Good luck to everyone today

I don't know how we lost. We were in control with 8 minutes left and up by 13 and ended up losing by 1 with 20 seconds left.

I did 2 changes today. First- changed playbook a little bit, but was in a rush so did it for 3 quarters only. That was full control till the last 8 minute collapse. Second - decided to try a different 2nd stringer RB for pro set and he fumbled leading to the opponent's TD.

That's the 2nd game this season we lost at the very end after seemingly having no problems for the majority of the game. Another 200 rushing yards in vain.

This has been a nice surprise. First win against the Bobbers in an eternity. Sorry to increase your trouble, Johnny. For me the win is extremely important as the Hawks keep up the pressure by winning against Chrill's Sea Lions. And they probably get down to only one win difference on Tuesday if they beat the Bracciano Lakers while my team will have a tough time against the Mandalorians.

In hindsight our loss yesterday should have been expected. But the way it happened was quite sobering nonetheless. 83 Yards and a Touchdown on the first drive. Great start. But then

-2 Yards, Punt. 32 Yards, Punt. -1 Yard, Punt. 17 Yards, Punt. 37 Yards, Interception. 36 Yards, Interception. 70 Yards, turnover on downs. 18 Yards, Punt.

Only then, with 6:55 on the clock in the 4th quarter, did we score another TD. By then we were behind 19 points, which was another testament to our great defense, holding the Hawks to field goals on their first 4 scoring opportunities. We did not take the ball away this time, though, while giving it away twice, which ultimately was the difference in the ball game.

Now 3 teams in the NC West are equal 5–5. And the one team not being even is only two wins behind. Geez. That'll be one hell of a race to the finish line

6 games to go, three teams even and 4 exciting match-ups on Game Day 12 of S59 in the Elite league: Despite freezing cold temperatures in our home town things are heating up dramatically in the NC West

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS have still 4 divisional match-ups coming up, but first have to welcome the mighty Dumbarajko Elephants today. Never have we been able to win against them, and we do not expect it to happen today either. They do not play their best ball this season and sit at #3 in the NC South with a record of 4–6, even seem to have concluded to not return to the Elite next season. But they always find a way to beat us, so we're likely to be 5–6 after today.

Two teams from the West face off with teams from the AC North: The Bobbers from Cheltenham are the third NCW-team to play against the Willoughby Wookies. The latter are 1–1 against teams from our division, maybe the Bobbers can break the tie in our favor. That would get them to 4–7 and keep them in striking distance for the final stretch of the season. In the other NCW-ACN match-up the Brookfield Ukies head to the Misery from Missouri, both having a record of 5–5 and being third in their respective division. Two of those wins for the Misery came from games against our division. If the Ukies can even their record against NCW-teams they would be 6–5 and likely jump the SEA LIONS in the division.

The newly minted leader of the NC West, the Pizti Beltzak, have one tough game to play against the leader of the NC North, the Space Kraken. They did only meet once before in the league, in S51, when the Beasts lost against the then reigning Champion of the Elite. Should they be able to come out on top today they'll defend their #1 spot for another week. But it'll be hard work to do so.

The NC West was led by all four teams already this season, and could be shaken up almost entirely again. We'll be glued to the screen to see what will happen (although we again might be the biggest loser of the day ).

Good luck to everyone

Yes, I'm expecting the Elephants are going to make a great finish to the season and survive (and good luck to them) - they have to hit form soon. But I hope you manage to squeak a win this evening.

Dumbarajko Elephants are on vacation, mountain Zlatibor, trying to walk a lot on fresh air while temperature is -12º C 😱😱😱

We have no hope for Elite in season 60, but we will do our best till season end.

Hope to have like 7-9 at the end.

Cheers, Chrill good luck to you today.

P.S.: Mighty Elephants sound very funny this season 🫣😃

Thanks, but we're not even able to win against you when you're vacating. Geez. I'll never understand why we can't sack the opposing QB like we get sacked all the time (a 4* 2.5* EXP OLB getting to the QB despite 4.5* OTs, 4.5* OGs and a formation with a FB (who disappeared on that play for some reason... huh?))... and why we're not able to stop any passing attack. But we obviously have the worst passing defense for a reason... I just don't get it... and probably never will

Having looked into what happened in the game a bit further I begin to understand. We may have made some errors in training our guys. Damn.

Congrats to the Elephants

And congrats to the Ukies, who are the winner in the NC West today. They are the only team to have won their game, climbing back to the #1-spot in the division
