Some news from the first round of the Draft: We got the player we had set at #2, a WR whose SPE is already capped at 44.8. Meh. But he's young and talented and has good EXP, so we'll. Not everyone has to be fast to be great, no?

As usual, I have made a bad pick on round 1. I have drafted a LB with SPD and STR already red capped at 42 and 46 respectively. He is already on the TM.

At least I think I have made some good analysis this time. My #1 went on #1 overall. From 13 players I have selected as potential first round picks for my team, 12 were drafted.

Well, it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't (both). But it would seriously piss me off if they go bot this season, as we have to play the Mustangs on game day 1, will likely lose the game (because they are very well equipped), and then have to watch how every other team in our division gets to play a bot-team and gather an easy win.

Congrats to the Gilets Jaunés for a great pick. We had the player at #1, but were not very confident to get him. And when I saw that Auers picked him it made totally sense, since he'll surely be a great successor to Yohan Maitre

He also was ny number one. My franchise quarterback will retire at the end of the season

I wish i could say the same, but mine is off: We picked the 4th player of now 6 Draftees over this and the last Draft whose SPE is capped red at or below 45. What?

They are all quite talented, though, which leads me to believe that I have to slightly adapt my scouting approach. It seems that Draftees are either talented or physical beasts. Maybe we should go for less talent in the future, since we seldom have our players go far beyond 42–43 on all of their A-Skills before turning 30 anyways, and hope for more luck on the physical side of things...

Draft Round 3 brought an ok-ish DL to the team: STR capped red at 47.4, but no cap on SPE at 43.2.
POS 20.7, VIS 25.6, TAC 29.7 and FOO 23.4 are a pretty solid base to further develop the player, Ball Stripper Trait and EXP 3,5* aren't that bad either. He's already 22, though, so we'll see if and where he fits into our plans beyond this season.

Today's the second preseason game, tomorrow the season will start. Still no log-in by the manager of the Mustangs, so it's not too far fetched to assume we will be one of the last teams to play them not being bot. Damn. But we'll try to make the best of it, maybe we can pull something off.

Game Day 1 today

Besides us playing the soon-to-be-bot-but-still-way stronger-than-us Mustangs there are some exciting match-ups for the NC West teams: The Brookfield Ukies visit the Blue Devils and, at least on "paper", seem to be the stronger team going into this game. Two long-tenured franchises and quite equal teams in terms of OVR meet in the game Missouri Misery @ Chelt Nam Bobbers, with the Bobbers being better Passing and the Misery being better Rushing the Ball... gonna be an exciting game. And Pizti Beltzak will be tested right from the start, too, as they get a visit by the San Diego Blitz.

Good luck to everyone

Good luck to all today!

It's our 3rd stint in the Elite and having had 2 touch experiences before, there are very minimal expectations.
We do come in with our best roster ever, but that might not mean a thing here.

In any case, I'm excited for another chance at this level. Let the fun begin!

I am not expecting to do much this season as I continue to build my team for the future.

FML. What seemed to be like a game headed for a victory with a good point differential ended in a complete 4th quarter meltdown and disaster. We were ahead by 17 points in the 4th quarter, then by 10 points with 10 minutes remaining, running at will, already in opponent's territory. And then instead of running on 4th and 1 and effectively finishing the game, went for a field goal to go up by 13 points.

And then there was no mercy, as out best MLB got injured and opponent just picked us apart for 2 TD's, last one with seconds remaining.

Congrats, Blue Devil!

It's one of those games where 200 rushing yards were wasted and our chances of staying went down significantly.

My fumble in the 3rd quarter to give you 7 points i thought was the end of the game with my team struggling to stop you.

I will chop this one up to a lucky victory. But my chances of remaining stay at very close to 0

That was very confusing indeed. When I hit the Live Ticker I was very content that you and the Bobbers would be winning easily, with the Pizti game being tied at 10 at this point. It's crazy that you lost that one, but it seems that the wrong player was injured at the wrong time

We were very fortunate to win our game today. The Defense stepped up big today, and the Rushing game worked very good, too.

1–0
