Earlier, in the test area I have seen a bug producing quite similar things, but without the kickoffs between. Should read more carefully, moving thread back to source forum

Looks like a bad playbook setting.
Even if the first try for 82 yards might make sense, because there might be a 0,1% chance of kicking a 82 yarder (which i doubt), but after that a FG doesn't make sense, once the opponent has a more than 3 points lead.

Indeed, it was a bad playbook setting.
Messing around with time settings is quite dangerous when you don't care about the yards to go setting as well.
Nevertheless, this took place at the end of the 2nd quarter, hence 3 points are 3 points...
But even without these nasty field-goals, I did not stand a chance against Buffalo.

On extra points there is no clock!

On field goals there IS (you can see this by watching all those game changing FG in the last seconds with time running out.) running clock after the snap.

On kick off the clock runs after first touch! So bouncing on the ground does not start the clock, but touching the ball does.

Thanks for clarification because i thought so near this - so NOW we have a BUG here

I'm sure this can be fixed very easy.
Since we don't have missed/short FG-Try-Returns, it's only about a given time (like 2 sec or 4 sec) for every FG attempt or to be more correct givin a time for every yard kicking and the snap.

this is a worse bug than you think...

In the NFL, it is true the clock runs during a field goal try... So that's issue number one, but not important...

Issue number 2 is that he made the attempt on first down... This occurs a lot when teams are in the two minute drill and get in FG range, but just because he missed doesn't mean the defense automatically gets the ball...
Firstly, you can kick a FG on any down... On short distances it is not unheard of for a team to kick on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down, so in case they miss, they could try again on 2nd, 3rd, or 4th down...
Since this was a long try (basically out of there frickin' mind) it would be treated as a Punt, and the defense would likely get the ball, but then a return would take place, meaning the team would have to return the ball to within FG range to make an attempt, all while the clock is ticking...

Probably needs to go back to bug...

Um, no. If they miss on 1st, 2nd or 3rd down, then they missed and the ball is turned over. If they miss handle the snap, the holder drops it, etc, then they can try again because they have extra(s) downs.

This is true only if the ball crosses the end line and is blown dead... For an 82 yard attempt it would have been virtually impossible to go that far... This ball would have been live and able to be returned... Something like this has actually happened in the NFL... NFL record shows a 109 yard FG return for touchdown...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_goal_(American_and_Canadian_football)

It's easy to assume this is like any other FG, but you can't forget it was an 82 yard attempt, not only not possible, but a live ball and clock ticking the whole time...

This is correct for this example

but when 1st and FG try and FG not good because missed then i do not think team can use 2nd and try again but its a turnover when no other penalty gives attacking team right to rekick - but i am not totally sure and so will nice to read the final solution so i learn better the rules

Yes, I agree with you and Barbados... It would be highly unlikely for the Kicking team to recover the miss, not necessarily impossible, but would be extremely rare... I used a bad example... As Barbados said, it is typically done in case of a bad snap or fumble on the hold... I was only trying to point out that it is not automatically given to the defense at the spot of the kick on a missed try, unless it travels past the end line... If that occured, How much do you want for that kicker...???
