when player makes sack to quarterback it is also for statistic a tackle
but not here One player had 3 sack today but under tackle he has "0" Also sack is takcle for loss Would be interesting to have TFL stat as column in statistic page |

On the internet there are lots of oppinions, that a sack IS recorded also as a tackle. I did not find a statistic for the current NFL season where any player has more sacks than tackles and on the play by play charts players with a sack and a tackle are displayed only for the sack, not in an additional play for the tackle. interesting: An assisted sack is recorded as full tackle but only as half sack.

Im Netz findet man aber sehr häufig die Meinung dass Sacks auch als Tackle gewertet werden. In der NFL hab ich aktuell KEINEN SPIELE mit mehr Sacks als Tackle gefunden. Dafür aber Spiele, bei dem einige Spieler 1 Tackle und 1 Sack hatten und das Play-by-Play chart weißt sie nur einmal als Sacker aus. Interessanterweise wird ein Assisted-Sack als voller Tackle, aber als halber Sack gezählt. I play alot fantasy this why im very sure that sack is Sack Tackle Tackle for Loss all in one time in statistical categorie by stats.inc for NFL Also when qb only fumbles by action of defense player behind line it is counted as sack and forced fumble and tackle and tackle for loss so you can check this also by this way The assisted sack its sounds weird why it can count as a full tackle - dont have this hear before and must look cloeser in future |

Check stat on nfl.com for Mike Wright
he have 0,5 Sack and only 1 Assist So half Sack is only Assist and not full tackle I think the thinking error is because in player profile the number shows in tackles overview the combination of (full) Tackles and Assisted Tackles In nfl.com tackles numbers is a bit crazy with the descripion: Comb = Total + Assist but total means sure "full" Last edited on 2011-09-23 06:38:28 by Turtlemania |

It's Sean Lee with 23 tackles, which am 19 total and 4 ast. Don't know why they do that, but the are counting those comb tackles as total + ast, right and the leader is which has most in comb. (looks like Hockey stats with points, where you get goals + ast) |
