On rushing left end I would expect DE/DT (depends on d-formation), OLB/CB and then Safety Ok - but what DE DT OLB CB... Left or Right? Or other way around: Which one is "correct": (1) hands off to x (HB/R), he starts running over the right end, x (HB/R) tackled by y (OLB/L), forward progress: 4 yards This lock logic for me: HB/R over Right and Faces a Left Defender in this Case OLB/L (2) hands off to x (HB/L), he starts running over the left end, y (DE/L) brings x (HB/L) down So this is weird HB/L rund over left and then... ...he makes a 180 turn to run over to right side to face there the DE/L??? The left attacker faces the right defender and vice versa. And now tell me where to fix it, Greenpeace will stop collecting donations from today Last edited on 2011-10-06 12:41:45 by Admin |

The thing is with the tackling player, that it might happen that the opposite side player (like HB goes right and the right DE makes the tackle) can make the tackle and nothing is said about the same side player.
Don't know how the engine is programmed, but there are different routes a player could take to get to the tackle. In neutral zone or in the one of the backfields (defense or offense). If it is possible that an opposing player can make a tackle in that engine untouched, then it's hard to find an error. |

I contact by admin and try to claer out because in german it is more easy for me to explain. More logical is like DE L helps out DE R on 3 man DLine But LBO L helping out LBO R on 4LB man line not so typical even in real game example in short rush when rusher goes out on left side for short yard. As you say neutrel zone or backfield it is different possible routes. So for sure on rush on backfield HB/R goes over right - breaks tackles and runs - for sure LBO/R could then get to him cross backfield. Maybe we get info on what occasion help can arrive from other side and look for "real" errors Last edited on 2011-10-06 14:08:10 by Turtlemania |

Basically, you shoudnt see this side switches very often. On a regular play te left attacker gets tackled by the right defender.
You should focus on outer plays for the moment to gather errors. |

Yes understand Makes it difference if rush goes run over the left/right end vs. run over the left/right tackle? But both situations are outer plays or not? |

The difference is the chance if the CB or the OLB is the next tackle stage |

So i think End more chance to face CB Tackle more chance to face OLB Is this "exclusive" or "possible" So when CB and OLB on field and rush goes over End -> not possible to face OLB only CB "exclusive" -> possible to face OLB also but also CB "possible" |
