Actually, I think improving coaches is probably the best bet to start out.

You asked for the facilities and then mentioning "take coaches ...."

First a manager should not improve coaches or facilities. I think the mountain is a must have, because it is cheap and increas the PC faster.

But an advice to all new managers, BUILD YOUR STADIUM and put as much money as possiblie in your stadium. If you have 20-30k seats you can build facilities, hire coaches and build still your stadium.

true Buff. there will ba a shock to the system when the salaries are increased! mmmmmmmmmm...managers with penalties..mmmmmmm. look out the draft hahahaa..

If you use the contract mode you will have constant salaries for the next 2-3 season. Then it will be good to have a big stadium and some money to be financiall save.
The draft picks would be no problem for the first season. If you use contract mode my advice would be to give your draft picks a frenchise contact, so they will have a low wage for 5 seasons.

5 seasons long contracts on 3 picks and 5 seasons....15. You have only 5.

All I want to say: be careful with franchise contracts!

Ok. Now I understand this.

You can give 5 players 3 YearFranchise conracts or 2x 4 Year and 1x 3 year franchisecontract. Right?

Yep, quite like this. Just don't "waste" all franchise tags, the next years pick could be better

Or have enough money on account to cancel the contract!

You can cancel the contract as every other one, the contract penalty is higher. After that you can negotiate another franchise contract.

Keep in mind: you can't cancel the franchise contract without losing the player!
